I am excited to share a new chapter in my career: the launch of Studio P, a private personal training studio for women here in Kansas City.

Studio P has been a vision I’ve carried for years, even tracking back to my time spent working in personal training in Boston, and the experience of bringing it to life while also navigating the challenges of new motherhood has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

Through 14 years working in the fitness industry, I have developed a strength-based and education-forward training philosophy to help women train intentionally, not intensely, and to understand their bodies, build confidence, and create truly sustainable results. Becoming a mom only deepened that perspective and further drove me to design a studio and training method that supports women through every season of life.

Studio P bridges the gap between the grungy and intimidating heavy weights gym spaces and the aesthetic and calm vibes typically found in a boutique Pilates or barre studio to provide women an elevated and calm space to learn true strength training. In essence, it’s a softer place to do the hard things.

Beyond the studio, I am also hosting Studio P pop-up events throughout Kansas City beginning in early 2026 to bring the same curated and strength-focused experience in Studio P beyond the walls and out into the community.

I’m so excited for what’s ahead and I’m grateful for all the women who have trusted me so far. Follow along on Instagram for updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and education on how to level up your own strength training routine.

Do you know what would happen if you chose to dial in on your fitness 6 months, focus on growth, build consistent habits, and finish and see it through?

Seriously, imagine getting to a place where you feel more comfortable in the gym, confident in your form, and get to see yourself getting visibly stronger.

Imagine actually enjoying your workouts because you trust what you are doing.

What would that be like to learn to trust yourself to follow up and follow through for yourself with your wellness?

THE BASE CAMP isn’t just a workout program:

It’s built to be long (6 months, in fact) to help you build consistency and practice showing up after having an off day.

It’s designed to give you weekly emails explaining the focus for the week and giving you encouragement so you understand WHY you are doing what you are doing and get to learn along the way (read: you feel confident in your fitness long after this program is over).

And instead of it being a passive program to purchase, you get a real person in your corner to give you feedback, answer your questions, and provide support and accountability.

For all the details and to get on the waitlist so you are the first to know when enrollment goes live next Monday, go to my link in bio. Have questions? Feel free to DM me!

When I was creating my first signature workout program, I wrestled for a bit with how long I should make it. We love a good 4 week challenge, even a 12 week challenge, but the problem I saw over and over in new client consultations was how hard it was to build real consistency beyond the other challenges and short programs they had tried.

They would be consistent for a few weeks, and then a work deadline would come up.

Their workouts would be in a good routine, but then something in their personal life would cause a lot of stress or require a lot of attention.

Their nutrition would be on point, but then the initial thrill of meal prepping and planning would wear off.

And if they haven’t been taught or been in a helpful container specifically designed to foster building consistency or resilience, can you blame them?

I decided to create a program that is long enough to actually see the women I work with through a season or two of life. While I can’t control the external circumstances that affect their lives, I can however create a workout program that is designed to help build a long haul mindset.

Instead of stopping and starting your fitness journey (and maybe even doing this for years), you CAN learn to confidently step over the things that you keep tripping over now.

If this is you, then come join THE BASE CAMP, my signature 6 month program. The program starts March 11th, with enrollment beginning Monday March 4th. For more details and to get on the waitlist, go to the link in my bio. My DMs are always open for questions. See you on the other side 🤍💪🏻

First things first: consistency doesn’t mean perfection!

It’s staying on track, staying committed to showing up, and getting back on track quickly if you “fall off the wagon.”

Consistency knows you’re likely going to fall off the wagon, but it also requires you to get up and not stay down.

Here are 3 things that are probably holding you back:

1) pushing exercise to the side when life gets busy

Instead of crushing one week of workouts and missing all of them the next week due to a busy schedule and repeating this cycle for the end of time, what if you committed on this busy weeks to just do what is in your control (a 30 min brisk walk instead of driving to the gym for a workout for example) instead of completely throwing in the towel?

2) getting bogged down by negative and doubting self talk

When you get knocked down, do you keep yourself down? When you have a bad workout or a bad body image day, is your thought life just reaffirming that everything sucks and nothing works and that your body is dumb and so on, or do you nudge yourself forward and become your own biggest cheerleader?

3) letting the weekend get to you every single time

When you think about how the weekend is basically 2.5 days and how that’s a bit close to half your week, it’s easy to see how tripping over your goals every weekend can really hold you back. What if you used your weekends to still prioritize your habits on some level and at the least make sure that you are set up for success come Monday with workouts scheduled, groceries restocked, etc.?

Remember that the goal is CONSISTENCY, not perfection, so release yourself of that unrealistic expectation and aim for perseverance instead.

What’s your goal this month? Would love to hear below 👇🏼

I shared a little bit on stories earlier this week about body image during pregnancy and have this question for you —

People talk about looking back at old photos from high school or college and saying “dang I looked so good then, I didn’t even know it and I wish had appreciated it.”

But so often that can be continued into the present: staying critical of your body image.

What is one area of your appearance or self in general generally that you are being hard on yourself about NOW?

How can you work to give yourself grace towards that today?

Go do that today, work on it this weekend.

Rooting for you 🤍 your body is worth appreciating and taking care of!

You can jump around from diet trend to diet trend, orrrr you can break your nutrition down to the basics and refine the things that will impact you the most. It’s not trendy/sexy/flashy to prioritize things like mindful eating, but I can promise you that the basics are the things that will improve your nutrition the most and get you closer to your goals 🤍

Here’s the thing when it comes to counting macros:

Can doing so help you achieve aesthetic and performance goals? Absolutely.

Do most people need to do so in order to see progress, and even to lose weight? No.

If you wake up every morning, nurse your coffee until lunchtime, eat a quick lunch of takeout or something thrown together, maybe have a snack in the afternoon, and then eat a big meal at dinner (and maybe late night snacks), there is SOOOOO much room for improvement towards your physical goals without ever needing an app. And we didn’t even talk about your daily water intake, your weekly alcohol intake, or your quality of sleep 🥲

If you’re thinking “okay you have my attention Rachel, I would love to break up with My Fitness Pal and learn to have a better relationship with and control over my food,” then head to the link in my bio to reach out about nutrition coaching. See you on the other side 🤍

2023 was FULL of client wins like this — building strength, growing self-reliance, improving nutrition, fostering a constructive mindset, and gaining increased confidence in the gym.

These results are earned, not given, and I’m forever proud of these women for the consistent effort they have given to their fitness and wellness. It’s not linear, it rarely looks like recognizable progress on a day to day basis. Instead, it’s consistently showing up, choosing to be uncomfortable as they push through to navigate their nutrition and the gym, and committing for the long haul. Forever and ever proud. 🥹

You *can* live your life sort of managing your nutrition, getting in workouts here and there and hoping something works to give you results, and constantly struggling with confidence in your body, and work to keep that boat afloat for the rest of your life.

But you don’t have to.

Alternatively, you can take a real step towards creating real solutions and living your life to the fullest with food, your physical capabilities, and your relationship with your body ADDING to your life instead of creating residual anxiety and hindering your confidence the rest of your life.

You CAN have a fitness routine you enjoy and gives you results.

You CAN have a relationship with food that is positive and healthy and aligns with your goals.

And you CAN get to a place your body that is free from anxiety.

If you’re ready to have this for yourself, stay tuned for a couple of announcements in the next few weeks. I have a couple of programs launching that are literally designed to help you build autonomy. Make sure you don’t miss out by getting on my email list (link in bio). This is your life, your wellness, and it’s yours for the taking. 💪🏻
