Fall is here. Daylight savings is approaching and with it comes the shift into longer nights and cooler mornings. We celebrated the equinox last Sunday, and honored the change of season with a harvest mandala. .encouraged.coaching and I both found bountiful contributions.

The change of season brings that little reminder that we move in cycles, too. Just like nature we adjust our rhythms. Fall invites a slower pace. It seeks warmth and a sense of comfort. It comes with an inclination to shed what’s no longer needed & root more deeply.

Consider this your seasonal permission slip to slow down & and come see me for some grounding self care. 🍂

Lately, I’ve been bumping into some feelings of Imposter Syndrome. Moving into my new space has been exciting and also full of those sneaky thoughts like, “Who the hell do you think you are?”

Aside from figuring out the logistics of hosting yoga classes and new booking software, I’ve been working through the self-doubt that can creep in when we step into something bigger. Imposter syndrome isn’t just a mindset. I’ve noticed it in my body: I feel it in my chest, in my shoulders. It brings up a deep desire to hide. I can feel it in the hesitation before I hit “share.” Hence my lack of posts lately.

I’m sharing this because I know I’m not alone. Big transitions, new beginnings, and taking up space can bring up old patterns. But, here I am. Still showing up, still building. Still learning to let my body know it’s safe to grow, it’s safe to be seen.

If you’ve ever felt that same pesky self-doubt, just remember you’re not alone. That last slide is really for me 😅

Here’s me at 3 years old, probably hunting for gnomes or faeries as I often did. The second slide is one of the first chapter books I ever read. Third is Unity’s Prayer for Protection.

I had a very magical childhood. I grew up surrounded by gemstones, crystal balls, tarot cards and all sorts of spellbooks. We lived on some land and I was always out frolicking around, seeking mystery and curiosities.

When clients ask what brought me to energy work, I explain it’s always been a part of me.

Not so much Reiki by name, but working with the White Light. My mom, deeply connected with Unity, would teach me to “cover myself in white light” whenever I needed protection or comfort. That simple practice became my first language of energy.

In a way, every energy session I offer is just me carrying forward that same wonder. Just a grown-up version of that 3 year old wandering the yard, chasing magic.

A client recently mentioned that they aren’t very keen on stillness. Always shaking their legs, tapping their toes. They’re that person clicking their pen nonstop in a meeting. Always in motion.

They explained massage is their challenge to that, their deliberate practice in allowing themselves to just. be. still.

And it reminded me of what my teacher said, of how we’re not just teaching people to be really good at laying on tables. We’re doing so much more.

I snapped this quick pic of the table after a session the other day, but I thought it looked too disheveled to share. I remade the table, but couldn’t remake the same feeling.

Which, of course. How silly. The imperfect sheets aren’t evidence of a mess, they show the table was used for what it’s made for: healing and care. A lil mess, lots of healing happens here.

The chaos and disorganized parts are always welcome anyway.

What a sweet start to Sunday morning. Thanks to everyone who joined & I for A Ritual Connection: Release & Radiance. We massaged our faces and moved our bodies under the Summer sun, a real treat.

Time to start planning for the next Ritual Connection. See ya in the Fall!

Rounding out my first week working in the new space, and I’m feeling real sentimental. Let’s give it up for the previous spaces that housed Homebody Hands.

It feels so sweet sharing this new space with my clients. Some of y’all have been with me since the first tiny lil spot over off 27th & Troost. Some of my clients go all the way back to my juice pressing days over at Just Juice.

Feeling incredibly held and supported. I love getting to help folks feel that same way.

New chapter begins, today.

I honestly hadn’t shared the fact that I was moving on my social media. It’s been quite a journey! I’ll spare the details right now and get to the point.

I’ll be taking the next two weeks to settle in, set up, and slowly shape this space into something that can hold care, movement, and community.

Appointments resume mid-July. I can’t wait to welcome you in.
