Myth busted: Not all medications are safe to crush or split. 💊 Some medications have extended-release formulations or special coatings designed to release the drug slowly over time.

Always check with a pharmacist before altering the dosage form of a medication. 👨‍⚕️

👋 Meet Ana Escalante — the newest member of our Pharmacy of Grace team!

Ana is a Certified Pharmacy Technician who’s passionate about helping people and making a difference. She grew up in Kansas City, MO, and after working in the automobile industry, found her calling in pharmacy. Ana started at Walmart in 2022, where she loved working with patients — but hated seeing people leave without the medications they needed because of cost.

When she learned about Pharmacy of Grace and our mission to provide affordable medications, she knew this was the right place for her. 💜

"When I heard about Pharmacy of Grace being a non-profit pharmacy and everything they do for their patients I was inspired and I thought to myself this is what I want, I want to help people in other ways that other pharmacies aren't able. So here I am trying to help in any way that I can.”

Trivia Tuesday! How well do you know your OTCs? NSAIDs are an effective way to reduce pain, fever, and inflammation. Many people use them for headaches, cramps, or joint pain. However, they can upset your stomach or raise blood pressure in some people (so always talk to your pha

💊 Common NSAID brands include Advil (ibuprofen), Aleve (naproxen), and Bayer (aspirin). Which brings us to the correct answer:
✅ Answer: C) Acetaminophen is NOT an NSAID Tylenol (acetaminophen) is pain-relieving and fever-reducing but not an anti-inflammatory. It’s often a gentler option for people who can’t tolerate NSAIDs due to stomach or heart concerns.

We loved welcoming members of The Hive Women OP for a tour of Pharmacy of Grace! 💛
Their support helps us spread the word about our mission: making essential medications accessible to our neighbors who are uninsured or underinsured.

A special thanks to these incredible women for not only visiting, but organizing a sunscreen drive just in time for summer! ☀️

✅ 42 lip balms
✅ 40 sunscreen sticks
✅ 38 tubes of sunscreen — all SPF 30+

We’ll be handing these out to patients while supplies last! If you’re visiting the pharmacy and in need, just ask at the desk to see if we still have some available.
