💙 Today is . It's a chance to celebrate the mission-driven work of nonprofits across the country.

At Pharmacy of Grace, this is why we do what we do:

📍 In Wyandotte County, nearly 1 in 5 people (17%) have no health insurance. That’s more than 28,000 neighbors.

No one should have to choose between food and life-saving medication.

We're proud to be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to fill the gap. Because everyone deserves access to affordable care. 💊💛 And we're excited to be growing and expanding with our new location in Shawnee.

Donate today to help our community and support our mission:

This month, we had two fourth-year University of Kansas School of Pharmacy students with us for their rotations: Kate McPherson and Peace Ezeana. 💙

Kate found her most meaningful moments working with patients who don't speak English, making sure they got the time and attention they deserved. She enjoyed using the Propio translation service and appreciated having the time to really sit and talk through medications with patients. Peace agreed with that -- she shared how she helped a patient navigate four new medications with different timing and food requirements. She knows in a retail setting that is something that would have been rushed through, but not at Pharmacy of Grace. "We had the time to just sit with her," Peace said. "She said I made everything easier for her."

That's exactly what we're here for. Thank you, Kate and Peace! You're going to be incredible pharmacists. 💊

We are so excited to welcome Matt Jarvis to the Pharmacy of Grace Board of Directors!

Matt is a Doctor of Pharmacy with more than 12 years of experience in pharmacy benefits, medication access, and healthcare strategy. He knows the barriers to affordable medication inside and out, and he understands why the POG mission is so important:

"Access to medication is access to hope — and when people can manage their health, they can reclaim stability, dignity, and a future."

Welcome, Matt! We are so glad to have you.

It’s World Immunization Week!

Recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), this week is all about raising awareness of how vaccines protect us from preventable illness. This is especially important for people with high blood pressure or diabetes.

Find out more about debunking vaccine myths and help us spread the word that immunization saves lives.

Please help us welcome Gael Rodriguez to the Pharmacy of Grace team. He is our newest pharmacy technician, and while he's working in KCK now, he will be serving patients at our Shawnee location once it opens this summer! 🎉

Gael came to us from retail pharmacy and says the mission drew him in, and the human touch is keeping him excited about coming to work:

"It's just a night and day difference. Here, it’s real people who want you to make a difference. It’s really refreshing to see.”

We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Welcome, Gael! 💙

What a great afternoon at Telemundo Kansas City’s Día del Niño Fest! 🎉

We loved being part of such a vibrant, family-centered celebration. It was packed with games, music, and so many smiling faces while we connected with community members and shared more about how Pharmacy of Grace is here to help.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello!

Our team had a great time at the Hands Only Health Fair Saturday! 💙

Events like this are exactly what community health looks like in action: CPR training, diabetes and blood pressure screenings, and dozens of resources all in one place for families who need them. We loved connecting with neighbors and fellow community organizations doing this important work. ❤️

Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week! 💙

Today we're celebrating Carol Walter, who has been part of the Pharmacy of Grace family since before we even opened our doors. Carol was on the 2018 trip to Columbus, Ohio that helped inspire John and Sara Yost to start this pharmacy, and she has been supporting our mission through prayer, donations, and for the last two and a half years, hands-on accounting work.

In her own words: "I especially value that the pharmacy goes beyond access by providing counseling services helping patients understand how, why, and when to take their medications."

Carol, thank you for being with us every step of the way. ❤️

April is National Minority Health Month. Here's why that matters so much to us. 💙

Access to care is cited as a social determinant of health. That means where you live, what you earn, and whether you can afford your prescriptions directly shapes how healthy you are and how long you live. We want to be part of the solution that fights these disparities.

Swipe through to see the data behind our mission and why access to affordable medication is one of the most powerful things we can do for our community's health.

Because your race, ethnicity or zip code should never determine how healthy you are. ❤️
