Walter Edwin, known to many as *The Popper*, embodies what it means to live hip-hop from the inside out. From his early mixtapes to his anthem *I’m KC*, he transformed street energy into art, and art into a legacy that continues to lift his city. What started as beats, rhymes, and hustle grew into *IMKC* — a movement celebrating roots, resilience, and real culture.

Your interview starts before you even sit down. Here’s what bosses are peepin’ when you step in!

Every second on site is part of your interview. How you treat people, your attitude, and the way you listen all matter.
It’s more than talk and clothes. People notice your energy, respect, and how you make others feel.
The details count. Show up early, be present, stay genuine. Employers remember more than you think.

🔥 They called it “too sensitive.” God called it a gift.

Growing up, Craig Donnell Jr. was told he felt too much, cared too deeply, noticed what others missed. But what they saw as weakness was actually a spiritual gift. 🙏🏾

Today, that same sensitivity helps him walk into a room and shift the entire atmosphere. When energy is low, Craig encourages, uplifts, and reminds people who they are in God. He’s not just aware, he’s an intercessor in motion.

That’s the power of embracing the very thing the world once told you to hide.

🔥 What if your DA is more pastor than prosecutor?

When I asked DA Dupree how he brings God into the courtroom, he said something that stopped me. “I’m a minister of justice.” ⚖️ That means it’s not only about holding the guilty accountable. It’s also about freeing the innocent 🕊️ and protecting the process. That idea isn’t hype — the Supreme Court framed the prosecutor’s duty as seeking justice, not just wins, and ethics commentary calls prosecutors “ministers of justice.” 👨‍⚖️✨

So when faith meets law, real justice looks like truth over trophies and people over politics.

📢 Today I delivered the message on the show straight, uncut, and right on time.

🙏 I’m covering our Mayor in prayer, his role, his family, and every provision God has lined up for him to lead our city well. Leadership isn’t light but prayer makes the load lighter.

Let’s stand in faith for the ones guiding our city.

Take it to the grave and someone else pays the price 💯

Titus Golden refused to stay silent. He laid his life bare. Selfish mistakes. Hard lessons. A testimony that proves truth cannot be buried. His story is an inheritance that saves lives because God will always use one man’s scars to heal somebody else

It wasn’t called DEI in the 90s but the impact was the same.

Dorian Dallas shared how, as a kid in elementary, middle, and high school, he felt seen, heard, and valued. Back then nobody called it DEI. There wasn’t an acronym or political debate. It was simply people creating space for him to belong. Fast forward to today, and the name has been dismantled and politicized. The truth is the purpose existed long before the label and it will exist long after. The question is whether we are bold enough to strip away the noise and commit to what matters, making sure every person feels included.

🔥When the party was a PART🔥

The Popper took us back to the Cove — a time when legends like Slick Rick and Biz Markie would pull up and vibe with him and his brother. No cameras. No clout chasing. Just pure energy, love for the music, and nights you’ll never forget.

These weren’t just parties… they were memories stamped in hip-hop history. And The Popper lived it.

Who remembers when the culture was about connection, not clicks? 👑

👩🏽‍🦱 Parents… are you pushing THEIR dreams or YOURS? 👀

Parenting isn’t easy and Tamar Bates’ mom knows that firsthand.

“Support their passion not yours. Be honest. Don’t yell when they don’t want to do the work. No pressure. Don’t relive your life through your kids.”

Those reminders hit different coming from a mother who has walked the journey of raising a son in the spotlight. Parenting doesn’t come with a manual but it comes with sacrifice patience and the wisdom to let your child’s dreams not yours lead the way.

Parenting is hard but love grace and honesty can guide us through. 💯

✊🏾From Pain to Progress — America’s system, scarred yet still the best.

The American justice system has carried centuries of scars. From racial profiling to shootings to injustice in the courts, the pain for Black men has been undeniable. Yet even in its brokenness, history was made. Mark Dupree became the first African American District Attorney in Wyandotte County, Kansas.

His rise is proof that despite its flaws, America’s system still has the capacity to move toward equity, fairness, and opportunity. Progress is slow, painful, and imperfect, but it is real.
