Gigi’s Vegan + Wellness Café and Urban Restaurant Hosts Free Christmas Dinners to Nourish Community with Love

Kansas City, MO — This Christmas, Gigi’s Vegan + Wellness Café, in partnership with Urban Restaurant and community supporters, will open its doors to provide free, nourishing Christmas dinners to individuals and families —ensuring that no one in the community has to face the holiday without a warm meal and a sense of belonging.

Founded by wellness advocate and cancer thriver Gigi Jones (Gigi the Vegan), the café has long been a place of healing, hope, and nourishment. The Free Christmas Dinner initiative reflects Gigi’s belief that food is more than sustenance—it is medicine, love, and a powerful way to care for one another.

“We know the holidays can be especially difficult for families experiencing food insecurity,” said Gigi Jones. Chef Clark, owner of Urban Restaurant, decided to join his mom in uplifting the community “Our goal is to create a space where people feel seen, supported, and cared for. Everyone deserves a warm, healthy meal on Christmas Day—served with dignity and compassion.”
