We're launching kids fitness classes in February - and there are still a few spots left.

Rookies (Ages 3-5): Saturdays, 10:15-10:45 AM
Body awareness, games, obstacle courses. Learning how to move in a fun, age-appropriate way.

All-Stars (Ages 6-9): Saturdays, 11:00-11:45 AM
Warm-ups, skill work, workouts, and games. Foundation movements like squats, push-ups, and carries - made fun.

4 weeks. February 7, 14, 21, 28. $79 per child.

Led by 13 year Certified Coach Dante (Brookside dad with a 3-year-old who knows exactly how much energy kids have in the winter).
Parents can stay and watch or drop off and grab coffee at Crow's nearby.
This isn't just playtime - it's structured, coached, and designed to teach kids how their bodies move. Getting them started early means fitness becomes normal to them, not something they avoid later in life.

Classes cap at 10 kids. Register soon if you're interested.

Laura, Rachel, and Margaret are all due within the next two months.

And yesterday? They showed up to class like they always do.

While some others were doing box jumps, they did step-ups. They've spent months modifying workouts - swapping out sit-ups for bracing and pelvic floor work, adjusting weights, scaling intensity to exactly what their bodies need right now.

They're not here grinding through workouts because they have to. They're here because staying active helps their bodies during delivery and recovery. Because they feel better when they move. And because - let's be honest - they genuinely enjoy showing up and working out together.

After class yesterday, they were already asking if they could bring their newborns to the gym so they could keep this going.

That's the kind of community we've built here. That's the kind of members we get to work with.

Laura, Rachel, and Margaret - you three are absolute badasses. We're so proud to have you here, and we can't wait to meet these babies (and maybe see them at the noon class in a few months?)

To everyone else: this is what I mean when I say we meet you where you are. Pregnant? We'll modify everything. Haven't worked out in years? We'll start slow. Recovering from an injury? We'll work around it.

The gym isn't just for one type of person. It's for anyone willing to show up.

If you've been thinking it's "not for you" or waiting for the "right time"... These three would probably tell you otherwise.

Strength changes as life changes and that’s not a bad thing. 💪

Fernando just turned 40. He’s not chasing fitness to “look a certain way” anymore. He’s training to move well, stay strong, and keep up with life at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

He grew up carrying feed bags and doing farmer’s carries before they had a name.
He moved to KC not knowing a soul.
And now? He’s one of our most consistent, encouraging, and inspiring athletes at FCF.

His goals have evolved from the scale to performance. From weight loss to lifting heavier, running faster, and feeling capable in his body.

That’s what sustainable fitness looks like: adapting as seasons change, not quitting when they do.

Every athlete has seasons. We train for all of them.

This is for the parents who:

• Push themselves to the limit taking care of everyone else

• Feels stiff, tired, or mentally fried by 5pm

• Knows they need to move, but motivation is low

1 simple solution:

Show up at 9:00am. Follow a coach-led plan. Leave feeling better than when you walked in.

0 pressure. No expectations to be “fit already.” Just consistency, coaching, and a small group just like you that gets it.

If this sounds like you, reply “9:00” and I’ll send you the details.

What do we mean when we say we sell "coaching"?

Our group classes are instructor-led, most group classes are.
But our instructors:
Move about the room.
Have individual conversations.
COACH each athlete.

So if you're nervous about starting because you won't be able to keep up, or you feel like you need to get in shape first, you'll only ever be asked to do what you're capable of and guided each step of the way.

Here's coach Jeff giving a master class on individualized coaching within a group setting. Rest assured, every single athlete in class got 1:1 attention.

🏆 2025 Top Attendance Shoutout 🏆

We want to take a moment to recognize some truly impressive consistency.

Hitting 200+ classes in a year averages out to 4 workouts every single week — for an entire year. That’s showing up through busy work weeks, vacations, sickness, family obligations, and everything else life throws your way.

These numbers aren’t about perfection. They’re about commitment.
They’re about choosing to come back again and again even when it’s not convenient.

Not heroic weeks. Not all-or-nothing bursts.
Just steady, consistent effort over time.

Huge respect to everyone who made training a priority in 2025. You’re setting the standard for what sustainable fitness really looks like. 💪

Be on the lookout for each one of these incredible athletes being highlighted in the near future so you can learn the secrets of how they get it done.

Yesterday I had eight people in front of me going over the workouts for an upcoming fitness competition here locally.

One of the final questions I got asked made me step back and realize...
Out of the eight athletes in the room, seven were parents.
Kids ranging from age 2 to 37 (my mom was there… so technically I count 🙋‍♂️).

So I got on my soapbox:
We talk about fitness like it’s something we do for ourselves.
But for most parents, it’s actually something we do for our kids.

Because when we train:
• We show up as healthier, more patient, more grounded humans
• We model that movement isn’t punishment , it’s just part of life

Those kids are growing up watching strong moms and dads do hard things.
They’re learning that exercise is normal.

As a parent myself, I’ll say this clearly:
Working out isn’t selfish.

It’s imperative.

January resolutions usually fail for one reason:
they ask for too much, too fast.

Instead of trying to overhaul your entire life, here are 3 resolutions that actually move the needle — and are simple enough to stick with:

1️⃣ Make every meal protein-centered
Not perfect. Not tracked. Just start with protein and build around it.

2️⃣ Drink more water than any other liquid
You don’t need a gallon. Just let water win more often.

3️⃣ Average 8 hours of sleep — never settle for less than 6
Sleep isn’t lazy. It’s foundational.

That’s it.
No detox. No restriction. No punishment.

Small, achievable habits done consistently beat big plans that last a week.

If January hasn’t gone “perfectly,” good news you’re doing it right.
Start simple. Stay consistent. Let the rest follow.

January 1st came and went.

Maybe you told yourself:
“I’ll start Monday.”
Or maybe…
“I’ll wait until the first full week.”

Well, it’s Monday now.
And if you still haven’t started, that doesn’t mean you failed.
It just means you haven’t started yet.

Here’s the good news:
It’s not too late to book a No Sweat Intro and be in the gym as soon as tomorrow. (Heck, if you DM me, I bet I can get you in tonight)

A No Sweat Intro is a free, half-hour conversation with a coach.
No workout. No pressure. Just:
• A tour of the gym
• A real conversation about your goals
• Clear next steps that actually make sense for you

You’ll leave with direction even if you decide we’re not the right fit.

If January hasn’t gone how you planned… that’s okay.
You’re still allowed to start.

Book your No Sweat Intro. 💪

If you want the year to be a success, that means your first step forward needs to be a success.
Where do you need to be at the end of January to make your 2026 goal achievable?
Set that as your first standard and your first win. One month at a time allows for you to fall off and get right back on, tell me in the comments what you're going to achieve by January 31st ✅
