Large sporting events and community gatherings can sometimes create situations where children and teens need help right away. When youth are separated from safe adults or facing vulnerable situations, emergency foster parents step in at a moment’s notice.

Emergency foster care provides a temporary, supportive home where youth can feel safe, reassured and protected while longer-term plans are made.

You can be the safety net a child or teen needs when it matters most. Learn how to become an emergency foster parent today: https://hubs.ly/Q042MxVL0

Congratulations to Amber, Process Coordinator at KVC Academy Lebanon for being nominated for Kindness Changes Lives! 💚 Here’s what a coworker had to say about her:

"Amber is someone I have come to trust and count on in many aspects of my job. Before I worked with her at KVC, I worked in the same building she was in. She has always been one to never complain about her job, always willing to jump right in and help in whatever capacity she can. Now that I am with KVC, she continues to be there for me and anyone else given the opportunity. She makes time for the students whenever they request to take breaks with her and she always has something uplifting and encouraging to say to both staff and students. She is the real deal!!”

✨ Continue to spread the kindness by congratulating Amber below!

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Juston Gates. Our hearts are with his family, loved ones and the entire community at Missouri Baptist Children's Home during this time of profound loss.

Dr. Gates’ legacy of leadership and service will not be forgotten. We are lifting up all who knew and loved him in prayer and holding the MBCH community close in our thoughts.

It is with a heavy heart and great sense of loss that we announce the passing of our brother in Christ, devoted father, beloved pastor, and President of MBCH, Dr. Juston Gates. Dr. Gates was recently hospitalized for injuries sustained on a business-related hunting trip, and he eventually succumbed to those injuries on April 23, 2026 at 12:02am.

Dr. Gates went to be with the Lord with his family standing by his side. He was well known for his love of and obedient service to Jesus Christ. He had a deep love for his family, both his family at home as well as his MBCH family. Dr. Gates will be greatly missed by all those who knew him, and we continue to welcome prayers for his family and friends, as well as for MBCH leadership as we mourn this great loss.

A Memorial service for Dr. Juston Gates will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, Details to follow.

Supporting youth with compassionate, healing treatment.

For communities to prosper, all children must have the opportunity to develop healthy brains. We support youth in their development by providing compassionate treatment for those who are experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, the impacts of childhood trauma, and other behavioral and/or mental health challenges. Through our residential treatment program and day treatment services, youth receive therapeutically enriched educational services, coping skills, and emotion regulation techniques that help them develop healthy interactions and behaviors.
