It occurred to Pooh and Piglet that they hadn't heard from Eeyore for several days, so they put on their hats and coats and trotted across the Hundred Acre Wood to Eeyore's stick house. Inside the house was Eeyore.

"Hello Eeyore," said Pooh.

"Hello Pooh. Hello Piglet," said Eeyore, in a Glum Sounding Voice.

"We just thought we'd check in on you," said Piglet, "because we hadn't heard from you, and so we wanted to know if you were okay."

Eeyore was silent for a moment. "Am I okay?" he asked, eventually. "Well, I don't know, to be honest. Are any of us really okay? That's what I ask myself. All I can tell you, Pooh and Piglet, is that right now I feel really rather Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. Which is why I haven't bothered you. Because you wouldn't want to waste your time hanging out with someone who is Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All, would you now."

Pooh looked at Piglet, and Piglet looked at Pooh, and they both sat down, one on either side of Eeyore in his stick house.

Eeyore looked at them in surprise. "What are you doing?"

"We're sitting here with you," said Pooh, "because we are your friends. And true friends don't care if someone is feeling Sad, or Alone, or Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. True friends are there for you anyway. And so here we are."

"Oh," said Eeyore. "Oh." And the three of them sat there in silence, and while Pooh and Piglet said nothing at all; somehow, almost imperceptibly, Eeyore started to feel a very tiny little bit better.

Because Pooh and Piglet were There.

No more; no less.

The holidays are met with mixed emotions for most of us. I encourage you to take time out to experience all feelings as they are expressions of who you are and your life filled with tears and laughter. Meditate and enjoy peaceful silence often to balance the frantic busyness you see all around you. Live in the present moment and make new holiday memories. And if you get stuck reach out to friends or professionals to help you get back on track. I wish the light and love of the season to touch all of you in whatever unique way spiritual or secular you allow your self to open up to.

This is sent to encourage every one to be sure you are registered to vote by the 10th of October. I know many people feel it really doesn’t matter as they have no control over what happens in the government. But our elected officials represent our values and how we present ourselves at home and around the world. The impact on all of us as to who is representing us is profound. Please make yourself heard.

There is no road map for grief. He hurts and there is not a time limit or road map. The only way through it is through it. If you are in pain feel the pain. If you are in anger feel the anger, if you are bargaining, bargin, denial , deny, Acceptance, accept, but please know you are not alone even though you are! You are not the first or the last to get through this Devil of grief

It is so sad that we continue to have Stigma when we tell others we have a Mental Health Disorder. Even in the Medical community. We need to be treated with dignity and respect just like heart disease, or diabetes, people can die from untreated mental health disorders! Today there is treatment for disorders that once took lives. The sad fact is people with mental health disorders want to get over them, versus acceptance so they can receive treatment!

I want to start a support group for those of us tormented waiting for test results to come back. If anyone needs support let me know. I think the only thing worse than being diagnosed with cancer is the anxiety around waiting for the results. So reach out if you are anxious about test results. I am here for you.
