Mount Olivet Cemetery, located at 7601 Blue Ridge Boulevard, has a variety of beautiful gardens and sprawling views. The Catholic Diocese of Kansas City - St.

Joseph operates three cemeteries in the Kansas City, Missouri area and one in the St. Joseph, Missouri area. Each location offers a variety of burial options and services:

-Mount Olivet Cemetery, located at 7601 Blue Ridge Boulevard, has a variety of beautiful gardens and sprawling views.

-Mt. Saint Mary's, located at 2201 Cleveland Avenue, offers breathtaking views of the Kansas City skyline as well as numerous historical gravesites.

-Resurrection, 5001 NE Cookingham Road in the north part of the metro, offers a sweeping vista of Clay County and a serene natural setting.

-Mount Olivet ~ St. Joseph, located at 2600 Lover's Lane, is defined by it's rolling hills, abundant history, and iconic faith symbols.

Reminder- Any Christmas decorations placed will be left until February 2. On February 2 we will begin picking up any decorations that have not already been removed. Decorations that are placed in a permanent vase will not be disturbed. Arrangements in permanent vases will remain until they become too weathered or faded. Thank you!

Blustery, cold weather is here. Our grounds crew will plow and salt cemetery roads during bad weather. If you come out to visit or to remove decorations from graves, please be very careful especially when walking across snow covered grounds. Thank you.

Please send the following information for each person:
• Name of Cemetery
• First, Middle (if known), and Last Name
• Date or year of interment
A map will be emailed to you with the location and directions within 7 to 10 working days. This will be the best and fastest way to obtain locations.
Please Remember - Our main focus is to serve our families with their current loss.
SPECIAL NOTE TO GENEOLOGISTS: We are happy to assist your search, but our focus is dedicated to our families. Your first five names will be at no cost. Any names you send us after that will be charged a $5 Research Fee which must be paid before the work can be initiated.

Holiday hours--- Our offices will be closing at noon on Wednesday, 12/24, closed Thursday 12/25 and will resume normal business hours on Friday, 12/26. We wish each of you a blessed, safe and Happy Holiday season.

Two of our cemeteries – Mount Olivet Kansas City and Resurrection - offer two beautiful memorials dedicated to Veterans and First Responders. The memorials are part of our Legacy Garden, which provide free grave space to veterans and first responders. Our cemeteries recognize the sacrifices given by our veterans and first responders, who serve both locally and abroad. The beautiful memorials are made from laser etched black granite and are surrounded by service flags to honor the various branches of military, police, and fire personnel. A free grave space in the Legacy Garden is available to any honorably discharged veteran, active-duty military, and first responders including police, fire and EMS personnel.
