After careful consideration, the Duchesne Clinic in Kansas City, KS, has closed. The clinic ceased operations on June 1, 2024.

While the Duchesne Clinic is no longer in operation, several other healthcare providers may be able to meet your needs. We have compiled a list of these clinics for your convenience.

For help finding a new clinic, medication assistance, or accessing other health services, contact El Centro’s Health Navigation program, at 913-428-1310.

If you were a patient at Duchesne and have not already requested that your medical records be transferred to another provider, rest assured your records are securely maintained at Intermountain, 500 Eldorado Blvd. Bldg. 4, Broomfield, CO 80021.

If you wish to access your records, please submit a written request to the Records Custodian at peaks_croi@imail.org, or call 303-467-4046. As per Kansas law, your medical records will remain available for ten (10) years.

We have important news to share with our Duchesne Clinic patients and community. After careful consideration and discussion over many months, it has been determined that Intermountain Health's continued operation of the Duchesne Clinic in Kansas City is not sustainable in the long term. Therefore, the clinic will cease operations on June 1, 2024. The difficult decision to close the clinic came after an unsuccessful attempt to become an independent FQHC and changes in the regulatory environment. The center of our decision is ultimately rooted in serving patients with the highest quality care and offering the type of services needed in the future. Numerous similar clinics are operating in the Duchesne area that we feel can better meet the healthcare needs of the population we currently serve and provide them with access to the healthcare they need. We are partnering with these organizations to ensure all of the patients at Duchesne Clinic are connected with one of them.

Blue Christmas is a holiday dedicated to remembrance of those who we are missing and have lost. It is a time to acknowledge that the holidays are not always happy and that for some, it is a time of extreme grief. Many churches will have a service to allow for commiseration and sharing within their community. If this is something that appeals, we encourage everyone to take a moment and look up a service near you.
