About Harmony And Health KC

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004. I became a Reiki practitioner in 2000 and earned my Reiki Master certification in 2007. I love learning more and more things about the body and how to keep ourselves in good health. For those of you who’ve known me and my business for years as Classical Massage, many of the elements will be the same. However, on this venture – and adventure – I’d like to emphasize that the focus is more on completely integrative health, harmony within and total health throughout: mind, body, and spirit.

Massage therapy was a calling I had back in 2003. Massage, Reiki and Chiropractic work all saved me after I was involved in a car accident in 1998. The MD’s only advice was to take a pill and sit and do nothing. That didn’t help, plus it was not much of an option for a working mom and wife. After a few months of sleepless nights from an unresolved whiplash injury, I was introduced to alternative solutions. Bodywork and Reiki had me up and back to normal in a couple of months. I wanted to learn to help people in the same way I had been helped.

I earned a degree in music from UMKC in my younger days and I am still an active cellist and private teacher in the Kansas City area. I also spent some time working in the corporate environment, so I can relate to those of you who do so as well. I have been married to my husband for over 34 years and we have two great kids, both of whom are now all grown and on their own.
