Incredible. It’s wild because genealogy is still very new. I believe it’s only been around for about 20 years. So it’s interesting to see growth like this when it comes to this field of work.

Learned something new.
I always thought idiot was a derogatory word to call someone. Until I stumbled across this record in search of someone. Looks like back in the “olden days” they used idiot to genuinely describe someone’s mental state that had been compromised since birth. This particular record is a facility that cared for people with mental disabilities.
