Metamorphosis Holistics I have worked in the healthcare field for many years, and worked as a holistic practitioner for 18 years. My son had a moderate case of eczema.

her wants to see their child suffer. No mother who is a health care providers wants to try strong medications or chemicals on their infant child's body either. My only resort was to explore what the most natural and gentle substances were, that could bring relief to my child. This led to taking aromatherapy and herbal classes. Those classes led to more classes that taught me how to put the herbs together to make the things that my son needed the most. I began making various medicinal products special order for my private holistic practice, for my family and friends, and then began taking special request from my patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and in hospice care. Realizing that natural medicine can help with so many conditions, without the side effects really empowered me to see how I could integrate my passion with the passion I have for being a nurse practitioner in the various healthcare settings I serve. My company creates plant medicine that embraces every aspect of life, with the least amount of side effects, and large quantities of love and intention.

I started with one ukulele… Now we have a community 🤭😂 Each one has a different sound, a different vibe… and apparently I needed all of them. U.A.S. is real y’all— Ukulele Acquisition Syndrome. But listen… I might strum off beat, change pitch 20 times, and lose my rhythm but I always find it again. And now I’ve got options when I do 🎶

“I didn’t just dust off my ukulele… I decorated a place for it to live. 🎶 She has some cracks from Winter, but so do I! 😂 This bench? I designed it, last year, so I could sit on my porch, play, and share music with whoever happens to pass by. I met more neighbors who were curious about what I had up my sleeve, as I painted every weekend! No stage. No pressure. Just real life… and a little bit of joy floating through the neighborhood. Some people scroll. Some people numb out. Me? I strum and bake my way back to myself. Spring feels like coming home.

You can’t teach self-care and abandon your own joy. I had to check myself… I love playing my ukulele. But I started letting work take over and push it aside. And the truth is— that’s the exact pattern I help others break. So this is your reminder (and mine): Find something you love… and protect it. Not when you have time. Not when everything else is done. Now. Because constantly nurturing everyone else while neglecting yourself… is not sustainable care. It’s slow burnout. And we’re not doing that anymore.

For 30+ years, I have eaten, slept, and breathed nursing. It wasn’t just what I did—it became part of who I was. But something has shifted. As I transition from caring for patients at the bedside to running my practice and coaching other nurses, I still think, breathe, and live nursing… Just in a different way. Not from survival. Not from drowning. But from a place of flow. Now… I’m surfing the wave. 🌊 And it’s a beautiful experience. It’s my hope that for you— When you sleep, your dreams of nursing are peaceful. When you drink, you’re taking in the nourishment this profession can offer. When you eat, it’s full of flavor— not stress, not depletion— but purpose, growth, and the life you actually want. Because nursing was never meant to consume you. It was meant to expand you.
