Congratulations to Pulse Design Group intern, Madison Simons, on winning a prestigious scholarship from the Kansas City Academy of Healthcare Engineers. This competitive KCAHE scholarship recognizes emerging leaders in healthcare and reflects Madison’s dedication to advancing the future of healthcare.

Madison will graduate this May with her Master of Architecture from The University of Kansas and will transition into a full-time role as an Architectural Associate at Pulse Design Group while also pursuing her Master of Health Services Administration at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Pulse Design Group transformed 15,600 SF into an 18-bed unit designed to meet medical-surgical requirements while addressing behavioral health safety standards, bridging a critical gap in traditional inpatient environments.

The result expands access to safe, comprehensive care for children with complex needs, strengthening the hospital’s ability to serve this vulnerable population.
