I am so sorry to post this. It makes my heart just break. Dr. John Peterson your c-arm is still there. Anyone who worked on 6E,so devastating. Brian Scott all the work that the engineering and maintenance...soooo sad.

Dave Dempsey just forwarded this to me. Haywood was a wonderful man. I learned so much from him over the years. He was mentor, teacher boss and friend. He was always so patient and had such a kind soul. I loved his smile. Another best of Trinity Lutheran Hospital.

Full frontal and side view, looking southeast; located on southeast corner of 30th and Wyandotte. Trinity Lutheran was formerly known as the Swedish Hospital that began in 1906. When it outgrew its facility at 1334 E. 8th Street, it purchased this building, known as the Penn Valley Hospital. The Swedish Hospital changed its name to Trinity Lutheran in 1921.

For those of you who did not know. Virgil Heitz passed away April 15th.
I have many fond memories of Virgil, we went to RT school together in 1977 and we worked together for many years. He taught me to love trout fishing. He will be missed.

I attended Dr. Durie's memorial service this afternoon. Cried like a baby! I still work with people who knew him and worked with him at TLH, all week we have been remembering our working with and for him.
Some famous Dr. Durie quotes I remember:
"Rita! I have been so busy today, I haven't had time for personal hygiene!"
"Just remember Rita, the higher you climb the ladder, the more they can see up your skirt"
"Always listen to what the patient is telling you first"
I learned so much from him, about patient care, life and learning, he was a great man!

Dear Friends, today is a very sad day. I just learned that out beloved Dr. Durie passed May 2, 2012. He was a wonderful man and transformed a rough and tumble RT department into one of the most progressive department of respiratory professionals many of us have ever seen. He was way ahead of his time.
On a professional level, he was a mentor, teacher and an inspiration for excellence, that has always been with me as I grow as a professional.
On a personal level, he was always available with his fatherly advice and support during difficult times in my life.
I have missed him and will always miss him.
He will always be ...respectfully...always...Bouncing Bob
