Yoga with Diane Personalized Yoga sessions designed to quiet the mind and restore the body. Individual, buddy, an Teaching private lessons is a specialty of mine.

Practicing yoga helped me so much, I decided I wanted to share it with others as a path to peace and good health. In 2008 I became ACE certified through the YMCA and started teaching yoga at the Y and at a yoga studio in my hometown of Independence, Missouri. In 2011 I started training with nationally known instructors hosted at The Yoga School of Therapeutics in Kansas City and eventually earned the 500-hour yoga instructor designation. Training with a wide variety of yoga professionals, along with my years of practice and teaching, gives me a wealth of knowledge and experience to bring to my students. I have taught yoga in many different settings to people of all ages, motivations, needs, and ability. Lessons are personalized to the individual who cannot or does not want to attend regular classes or who needs physical rehab or therapy. I also enjoy teaching groups and sharing yoga in special events. Group sessions can take place at my workplace studio or at your location. Special events can be anywhere, as yoga events or as part of a larger event or a special occasion.

I am so grateful that I learned to practice yoga. It has been life-changing for me as many of you know. I went from being restless, depressed, unhappy, and terribly out of shape to being at peace with myself, and others, content, fulfilled, and pretty doggone strong and flexible.
Recently I reflected on the many people who have helped make the difference. I thought of my foreign exchange “daughter” Rosa Valle who talked me into taking my first class over 20 years ago, and the wonderful instructor Vanessa Barrett who helped me feel good about doing yoga.
After a few years of attending classes I decided I wanted to teach other people because yoga had helped me so much. So I thought how grateful I am for Cindy Carpenter McClain who first hired me to teach at the Studio on Main - Pilates & Yoga and my faithful students there like Melinda Kreissler Boeh.
Eventually I pursued even more training The Yoga Studio yoga school and was reminded of my dear trainer Suzette Scholtes and all the fantastic professional yoga trainers I learned from there, like Aadil Palkhivala, Gary Kraftsow, and Doug Keller.
When I moved to Manhattan, KS I volunteered teaching yoga at K-State Noontime Yoga and made new friends. Soon I met Jessa Baxter Peterson who hired me to teach at her studio, giving me the opportunity to share yoga with many more people. I am so grateful for her and for that experience where I made friends and expanded my yoga knowledge and expertise.
Currently I am teaching private lessons which provides flexibility for people’s lives as well as my own. Feeling grateful now for all those students (you know who you are), I share this post now with a grateful heart. Happy Thanksgiving!

“I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.”
