Eat at local Parkville restaurants this week to help those in need!

Since 2010, the Parkville Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program has been about more than gifts. It’s about connection, compassion, and community. Each year, local officers take children and families shopping for the holidays, giving them not just presents under the tree but a memory of kindness they’ll carry forever.

As Police Chief Kevin Chrisman says, “These children and families get to build a relationship with a person in uniform that was good to them.”

It’s that relationship, that moment of trust and joy, that makes Shop with a Cop so special. It reminds our kids that behind every badge is a neighbor, a protector, and a friend.

This program is supported through the Parkville Community Assistance Fund, which also helps families in need throughout the year. And right now, you can be part of making that impact.

From November 2 to 9, Taste of Parkville is giving everyone a way to give back simply by dining local. A portion of the proceeds from participating restaurants will benefit Shop with a Cop and other community programs that serve families right here in Parkville.

When you dine local, you’re helping create the kind of community where everyone belongs, where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

So grab your friends, try something new, and join us in making a difference. Because when Parkville comes together around the table, there’s nothing sweeter.

Participating Restaurants:
Acre Restaurant
Rancho Grande Cantina
Prima Facie Bistro
The Market at Prima Facie
Char Bar - Parkville
Nick and Jake's Parkville
Whiskey River KC
The Craic on Main
Parkville Nutrition
Scooter's Coffee
