Nicoya Helm Mindfulness Meditation

Nicoya Helm Mindfulness Meditation Look deeper. Dream bigger. Live better. I have practiced in variety of contemplative traditions including Plum Village, MBSR, and Insight (vipassana).

I embarked on teacher training in 2017 in Shinzen Young’s Unified Mindfulness approach after experiencing significant breakthroughs in applying mindfulness to life challenges, including a chronic health condition. Helping others work with similar challenges is one of my teaching passions. I’ve enjoyed careers as a Linux/Unix system engineer and an instructor of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). If you’d like to discuss shell scripting, applied linguistics, and sci-fi/fantasy in addition to meditation, I’m happy to help with that, too. I am currently a Level 2 Certified Unified Mindfulness Coach and Level 2 Yoga Fit yoga instructor.

About Nicoya

I began meditating over 20 years ago after stumbling across a CD in the local library and then a local meditation center. It was love at first sit. Like any long-term relationship, it has had highs and lows, but continues to be a source of strength and joy as it unfolds. My journey has taken me through a variety of traditions including Plum Village, MBSR, and Insight (vipassana).
