Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI) is a vascular disease primarily caused by impaired blood flow from the legs back to the heart, often due to damaged or malfunctioning vein valves. This leads to blood pooling in the legs, increased pressure, and a variety of symptoms.

While early symptoms may be mild, CVI is a progressive disease and will not improve without medical intervention. Advanced stages can present more serious complications, such as venous stasis ulcers, which are very complicated to treat, so schedule a consult now if you think you may have CVI.

The good news is that treatment is a simple outpatient procedure(s), often covered by insurance, and Dr. Craig Schwartz is here to help!

Our Story

A triple-board-certified surgeon, Dr. Craig Schwartz brings 24 years surgical experience to the people of Kansas City at Premier Vein & Body by Schwartz. In 2003, he established Vein Centers for Excellence of Kansas City - one of the area’s first vein centers dedicated to the in-office diagnosis and laser treatment of vein disease, including varicose and spider veins. A few short years later he observed the need to expand his practice into the use of laser and energy-based procedures to also provide non-surgical and minimally-invasive liposuction, body contouring and facial rejuvenation treatments.
