Uzazi Village & the Ida Mae Patterson Center are hiring for three key roles that help us deepen our impact in the community:

🔹 Fractional CFO: Lead financial strategy, budgeting, cash flow, and board reporting during an exciting season of growth. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience.
🔹 Part-Time Practice Manager: Support the day-to-day operations of our Ida Mae Patterson Center. We're looking for someone with 2–3 years of experience and a heart for community care.
🔹 Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator: Coordinate volunteers, strengthen partnerships, and support outreach efforts. A background as a Community Health Worker (CHW) is a plus!

This year's theme is "Holding Ground on Maternal Health." Uzazi Village is helping hold ground for maternal health in our community in a variety of ways, such as:

❤️Offering group prenatal care in the Ida Mae Patterson Center
❤️Offering donation-based prenatal care on Community Care Days
❤️Distributing free healthy food to the community on Wednesday and Friday afternoons
❤️Helping educate those who aspire to support childbearing families in the community with doula training

🌟 Registration for Virtual Doula Training with Uzazi Village is open for two more weeks! 🌟

Sign up for this three-week live virtual doula training course to begin your journey supporting childbearing families in your community.🤰🏽💜 This training course is open to adult residents of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Nevada, Illinois, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.

Training begins in about a month, but space is limited, so sign up soon!

Join us this Friday from 1–6 p.m. for Community Care Day, where we offer culturally rooted, compassionate care for women of reproductive age.

💜 Services include:
• Well-woman exams
• Birth control & fertility support
• Breast exams and mammogram referrals
• Pap smears, postpartum care & more

Offered by a women’s health nurse practitioner & a certified midwife in a welcoming space. Free or sliding scale.

💜Thank you for a successful MLK Day of Service!💜

We had:
✔️Over 50 volunteers + many of our staff and board members.
✔️A basketball team from Cottey College who sorted through all of our donations and books and created labor packs and hygiene packs for our care participants
✔️A group of Urban Rangers young men who braved the cold to clean up our shed and tidy up our basement storage
✔️Two amazing meals created by our new Community Wellness Coordinator, Kimberly

This was a service day for the books! We are so immensely grateful for the support in getting Uzazi Village cleaned, organized, and ready to take on 2026 head-on.
