The Biobank helps medical research by collecting, processing, storing, and dispensing biological samples that are essential for scientific studies. Our qualified team members reach out to patients like you to give information about donation opportunities and to explain how your contribution helps the fight against disease. Then, we arrange for patients to donate samples such as blood and leftover tissue from planned surgeries. During this process, our team members make sure that all of your medical and personal information is kept private. By donating to the Biobank, you contribute directly to research and help our scientists make breakthroughs in medical treatment. Donations can be made at the main KU campus, the Westwood campus, and the Indian Creek campus. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at NCI!

The holiday season is a great time to enjoy the company of friends and family and remind them about the importance of talking to their doctor about getting their recommended cancer screening tests. Several screening tests have been shown to detect cancer early and reduce the chance of dying from that cancer. https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/screening
