We had an amazing time learning and growing at this training!
Spontaneity and anxiety: when one goes up, the other goes down, kind of like a seesaw.
That was just one of the many learning moments from Day One of our Trauma-Informed Psychodrama & Experiential Therapy Training in Kansas City this weekend.
We didn’t just talk about theory, we lived it. Through role-play, sociometry, image-making, and story, we explored how the body holds emotion, how group dynamics shape safety, and how creativity becomes a clinical tool when words fall short.
We met “anxiety” and “spontaneity” as embodied sculptures complete with scarves, objects, and enough curiosity to open the door to something real. We practiced structures that help clients externalize internal parts, build insight, and take meaningful action… all within a trauma-informed, deeply respectful frame.
If you're looking for therapy that connects you with all of yourself in a creative and embodied way, we have appointments available to get started immediately, and we're the largest outpatient mental health treatment center of our kind in the US, so you're truly getting a therapy experience like no other.
Hearten House trainings aren't your average CEU grind. They're immersive, relational, and designed to shift how you show up in the room as a therapist, facilitator, and human.
We have trainings scheduled in Salt Lake City in August, and Sarasota, FL in September and both are filling fast. Learn more at heartenhouse.com/training
