⏰ Daylight Saving Time is here!

Even a one-hour time change can affect your child’s sleep routine. You may notice trouble falling asleep, earlier wake-ups, or extra crankiness during the adjustment.

A few tips to help the transition go more smoothly:

• Keep bedtime routines consistent
• Get plenty of natural daylight during the day
• Limit screens close to bedtime

🔹 With a little preparation, most kids adjust within a few days.

👂 Ear pain keeping your little one up at night? It could be an ear infection.

Ear infections are one of the most common reasons children visit the doctor, especially during cold and flu season.

⚠️ Signs to watch for include ear pain, tugging at the ear, fever, trouble sleeping, or increased fussiness in younger children.

The good news? Most ear infections are treatable, and early evaluation can help your child feel better faster.

If your child is showing symptoms, don’t wait. Our team at Health Care for Children is here to help diagnose, treat, and get your little one back to feeling like themselves again.

🦷💕 Sweet treats + healthy smiles = the perfect Valentine’s combo! 💕

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month… and with all the Valentine’s candy, chocolates, and sugary surprises, it’s the perfect time to remind parents to protect those little smiles!

Sugar can stick around on teeth long after the treats are gone, increasing the risk of cavities. Help your child stay cavity-free by:

✨ Brushing twice a day
✨ Flossing daily
✨ Drinking water after sweets
✨ Keeping up with regular dental check-ups

A healthy smile supports speech, nutrition, confidence — and overall wellness. 😁

❄️ Preventing Winter Injuries in Kids ❄️

Cold weather brings lots of fun—but it also comes with a few extra risks. Slippery sidewalks, icy playgrounds, and bundled-up play can lead to falls and injuries if we’re not careful.

A few simple reminders for winter:

• Dress kids in warm, well-fitting layers
• Choose shoes with good traction
• Supervise outdoor play, especially on icy surfaces
• Encourage breaks to warm up

If your child takes a fall or gets hurt this winter, we’re here to help. 💙
