Genesis Health Clubs is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Pelican Athletic Club in Mandeville, Louisiana.

Our 78th location nationwide, third in Louisiana, and ninth acquisition of 2025!

This 175,000 sq. ft. fitness destination is packed with incredible amenities, including:

Our Story

Genesis Health Club's Boardwalk location in Kansas City was acquired from Gold's Gym in April 2016. This gym is equipped with wide variety of well-maintained weight training tools, cardiovascular equipment and fitness gear. Rows of cardio machines enable health club members to easily customize their workouts to meet specific fitness objectives.

Specials features include a cycle room and Functional Training Area. An experienced staff of group fitness instructors lead daily classes that address a wide range of target areas. Offerings include yoga, Pilates, cycle, strength training, cardio, core, dance fitness (including Zumba) and much more.

The club's talented Personal Training staff works closely with members who desire a one-on-one training experience. Our upscale locker rooms include dry saunas in both men's and women's with lockers and showers to ensure you have what you need to go from work to workout or whatever your needs may be.
