If you’ve ever been called too intense, too emotional, too much—
maybe what they really meant was too clear.

Your light isn’t a threat.
Their discomfort isn’t your fault.

You didn’t break the dynamic.
You just stopped shrinking inside it.

just because they showed up.

Maybe they were physically there —
but emotionally absent.
Unavailable.
Confusing.

You can be grateful you survived
and still acknowledge that you needed more.

You are not asking for too much.
You are asking for what love is supposed to be.

You are not too much.

Hey 👋🏼 there! Person behind the SE posts, Kieri here! It’s been a while since I introduced myself to you all and I thought the new headshots from .with.rach were a great excuse to say hi again!

I started Simple Empathy in Jan 2020 as a frankly independently licensed MFT with a dream to do therapy differently. We’ve been on that journey for the last 5 years and we’re making progress!! I have a lovely team of humans ready to help you and your humans navigate this thing we call life.

I have a passion for SE to be a space of radical empathy for everyone. We’re inclusive, we’re humans first and so are you. So with that said, give .with.rach some love for her mad photography skills and if you need someone to walk along side your healing journey book a session!
