After 33 years of dedicated service, Patsy has officially retired from Moyes Eye Center.

She first joined the practice in May 1992 and has been part of its growth, evolution, and many milestones over the decades. In October 2002, she was there as the practice became Moyes Eye Center, where she continued to work alongside Dr. Andrew Moyes and Dr. Anthony Verachtert, who joined in 2000.

Throughout her career, Patsy has cherished the opportunity to work with incredible patients, dedicated doctors, talented coworkers, and dear friends. She will miss the daily interactions, the laughter, and the shared moments, but she will carry with her countless memories and the deep connections she has built.

Her dedication, warmth, and commitment have left a lasting mark on the practice and the people she has worked with. As she enters this new chapter, Patsy extends her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of her journey.

Today’s Lunch and Learn was all about growth, knowledge, and great food! Dr. Anthony Verachtert, one of our experienced optometrists, led an engaging session for our technicians on Laser Vision Correction Surgery, covering patient screening, expectations, and how we support the process from start to finish.

At Moyes Eye Center, we believe that a well-informed team creates the best patient experience. Huge thanks to Dr. Verachtert for sharing his insight and to our tech team for always being eager to learn more!

It’s hard to believe it’s time to say goodbye to our incredible optometry resident, Dr. Parker Monsen. Over the past year, Dr. Monsen has truly become part of our team, his dedication, clinical excellence, and support in the clinic have been invaluable.

He consistently put his best foot forward in both patient care and residency assignments, and we are so proud of all he’s accomplished.

As he and McKenzie prepare for their move to Ohio to begin their careers, we wish them nothing but happiness and success in this next chapter. Please join us in sending them off with all our best wishes!

We know protective eyewear isn’t exactly a fashion statement, but trust us, it’s a lot cooler than explaining to the ER doctor what happened.

Meet the dream team behind clearer vision at Moyes Eye Center! Our skilled team of surgeons perform advanced cataract surgery, a quick, 15-minute outpatient procedure done while you're awake. We replace the cloudy lens with a clear intraocular lens (IOL). No stitches are usually needed, and recovery involves a few weeks of eye drops in which vision often stabilizes in 4–6 weeks.
