The residents of Assisted Living and Memory Care recently participated in an enjoyable indoor volleyball game. This month, as we virtually explore destinations abroad, we gained insight into the Cazova Beach Volleyball Championship in the Cayman Islands. Adapting this championship to our own setting, we envisioned ourselves competing on Seven Mile Beach, with both teams demonstrating considerable skill and already looking forward to a Spring rematch.

Thank you to Enable Dental for bringing "Health Jeopardy" to play today. At first Assisted Living was unsure of the success they would have. After the game started they figured out just how knowledgeable they really are! One of the residents joked saying, "We know the answers because we all either have or have had the health problems they are talking about!" We all laughed and agreed that with age comes wisdom and we are proud of the wisdom we've all earned! Everyone was a winner today.

Our Independent Living Residents played some Bahamas themed Beach Volleyball! It was a fun game with the sounds of Caribbean music playing in the background & palm trees on either side of the court! We invite you to join us in the Bahamas 2026. This month, our armchair travels feature a cruise to the Bahamas and a tour of Pearl Island, where we recently enjoyed a beach lunch experience and swam with the pigs for $149.00 per person. The pigs eagerly consumed sausages and pineapples, providing endless entertainment. Our day was filled with sunshine, laughter, and visits to one of the island's four bars. After our excursion, we gathered our favorite sand samples as mementos, thanking Pearl Island for the unforgettable sun and fun.

Danielle, our accomplished front desk receptionist, is the focus of our employee spotlight. Since joining Senior Star in 2023, Danielle has become an expert in front desk operations across Independent Living and Assisted Living buildings. Her role is multifaceted, encompassing tasks such as coordinating transportation, managing phone calls and emails, and warmly welcoming associates and guests. Danielle's leadership of the employee engagement group has been instrumental in fostering a sense of community, as seen in the success of events like the Ugly Christmas Sweater contest and Chili Cook-Off. We are thankful for Danielle's dedication and commitment to excellence as a shining star of Wexford Place.
