Will you wait till Monday when we set up at The 117 St Farmers' Market in order to pick up your things for the week ahead, or can you not make it then? If so, would the option to pick up tomorrow late afternoon, be a blessing for you? Please let us know by commenting below with a simple "Monday" for yes, you can make it to market on Monday at RBUM Church or "Friday" if you can't and would prefer to grab some things tomorrow. Several of our planned items are being prepared while the ingredients are at peak and we had planned on getting them to you Monday as fresh made/frozen things. Either way they will be just as delicious and nutritious, but we don't want you to go hungry next week with the change in time and day due to the ridiculous forecast starting Friday night into Sunday. Sorry for the inconvenience, but WINTER!!🥹❄️

So much information. Would you admit that at times it's hard to navigate in today's modern world as to what's true and what's not? We would likely feel that way had we not studied at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition and learned from those in the top of their fields, back in 2012. Since then, fads have come and gone and in fact many thought vegetarianism/veganism would be classified as such. Studying 100 different dietary theories brings alot of knowledge but much of it cast away as nonsense, when you get down to the facts and the data. The anti lectin craze came along and prompted the sale of many books and with that, unfortunately came fear, where beans and legumes are concerned. These are foods of our ancestors and the foundation of those living in the Blue Zones, where there are more centenarians than anywhere on Earth. Common sense and practical techniques when it comes to preparing these seeds, nuts, beans and such is essential, no doubt. Nature put protective measures in place for a reason!! Like a treasure locked in a vault, these little powerhouses are pure gold in a whole food plants only diet!! See what you think and do your homework!! Hope you enjoy this short piece about lectins. Tuesday's list includes, roast organic squash and sweet potatoes for brownies to bake mid week, make nondairy healthy cheese sauces (mild nacho and queso blanco) to freeze for Saturday pick up, mix and bake our almond feta with garlic and herbs, make both of our gourmet protein bars and chill to package and label tomorrow. So much healthy whole food goodness, fresh from our Little House to yours!! We may be offering an alternate day for pick up with the forecast Saturday being so bitterly cold. We made this one yesterday for dinner last night. It was good, but tonite warmed up -far better! It's funny how dishes just need time to get it fully together. Kinda like people!! Well, some of us. This was fantastic on a bed of rice and added a tangerine and blueberries for the raw along with a handful of broccoli microgreens. Our GO TO GREENS in a flash!! Recipe in comments below for this super tasty and really simple cabbage dish. We were out of fresh greens yesterday, so went with microgreens raw, at serving. Tonite added a few slabs of toasty tofu on top and called it DINNER!!! Nothing fancy at all, give it a try and use any greens you like!! BE WELL

Thank you all, for helping us help you!! The fridges are once again empty and ready for next Saturday's delicious offerings. Many of our soups have been stashed in the deep freezer in anticipation of our monthly Frozen Soup Sale!! We will be gearing up for that this weekend for you, so get your freezer ready at your Little House, and stock up on some really great homemade healthy ones at $2. off pints and quarts!! We love Dr. Will and his teachings. He offers really great classes online if you want to enrich your knowledge!! Do you agree with his message here? We certainly do!! Fiber is King!!
