To help keep kids in the hospital at their healthiest, all visitors must be 13 and older, and free of illness. Some units may have additional precautions. Please visit with your child’s nurse for any added limitations.

Meet Bennett and Nora — siblings whose medical journeys began early, but whose futures are full of possibility thanks to expert, compassionate care from Children’s Mercy.

💉 Bennett was just 10 months old when a quiet morning turned into a medical emergency. After a life-saving diagnosis of a rare pituitary condition, nightly hormone injections helped him grow strong — and today, at 12, he gives them to himself with confidence.

🩺 Nora’s story started just days after birth. Diagnosed with Hirschsprung’s disease, she underwent complex surgery and ongoing care that helped her thrive. Now 10, she’s full of strength and spirit.

Having access to Children’s Mercy care in Wichita, Kan. made all the difference. And now, they’re helping expand that care — so more families can stay close to home while receiving world-class treatment.

💛 “This isn’t just about our family,” their dad, Ruse said. “It’s about every child in Wichita having a chance.”
