A quick reminder--- We mow and w**d eat the cemeteries and their gardens on a rotating basis. We are not able to strictly state which gardens will be groomed or when. Therefore, we ask those who place flowers and other items on graves to be aware that they may be removed and properly disposed of as we care for those graves. Only decorations in permanent vases will remain untouched unless they have become withered or faded due to weather. We appreciate your assistance as we work to keep our gardens a place of peace and beauty for all our families. Thank you.

Two of our cemeteries – Mount Olivet Kansas City and Resurrection - offer two beautiful memorials dedicated to Veterans and First Responders. The memorials are part of our Legacy Garden, which provide free grave space to veterans and first responders. Our cemeteries recognize the sacrifices given by our veterans and first responders, who serve both locally and abroad. The beautiful memorials are made from laser etched black granite and are surrounded by service flags to honor the various branches of military, police, and fire personnel. A free grave space in the Legacy Garden is available to any honorably discharged veteran, active duty military, and first responders including police, fire and EMS personnel. Please send the following information for each person:
• Name of Cemetery
• First, Middle (if known), and Last Name
• Date or year of interment
A map will be emailed to you with the location and directions within 7 to 10 working days. This will be the best and fastest way to obtain locations.
Please Remember - Our main focus is to serve our families with their current loss.
SPECIAL NOTE TO GENEOLOGISTS: We are happy to assist your search but our focus is dedicated to our families. Your first five names will be at no cost. Any names you send us after that will be charged a $5 Research Fee which must be paid before the work can be initiated.

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. Though we had some showers, it was a beautiful start to the Spring Season.

I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone, in order to accommodate the growing season, on June 2nd, any decorations not in a permanent vase will be removed from all graves at Mt. Olivet, Resurrection, and St. Mary's in Kansas City and at Mt. Olivet in St. Joseph.

Please be sure to remove any decorations you wish to keep prior to the June 2nd date. Any items on the graves will be removed and properly disposed of.
