On December 20, Healing House staff and participants will hit the streets to distribute backpacks filled with essentials like food, socks, winter gear, hygiene items, and more. Each bag will also include a handwritten note, a pocket Bible, and a Participant Brochure—small gestures with a big impact.

What makes this outreach extra special? Many of the participants leading this effort were once in need themselves, now paying it forward. Their recovery journeys embody Healing House’s mission of restoring lives through faith, hope, and service. 🙏💙

On Saturday, December 20, 10:00 am - Noon, neighborhood families will be gathering in the parking lot of our admin building where children can meet Santa and then they can choose a toy and select winter clothing items they may need. We need your help! Please consider donating a $10 or less toy and new or gently used winter wear items— such as hats, gloves, warm scarves, coats, boots, etc.

✨ Women’s Beauty Day was a huge success! ✨

This past weekend, Healing House and the Recovery Coalition Party Committee had the joy of hosting a special day of pampering for our ladies — and it was nothing short of beautiful.

More than 70 women enjoyed haircuts, manicures, facials, makeup, and so much more. Professional volunteers from all across Kansas City showed up with open hearts and incredible talent to make each participant feel valued, seen, and celebrated.

A huge thank you to every volunteer who donated their time and skills, and to the Party Committee for helping make this day possible. Your generosity and compassion truly made a difference.
