Who do you know whose life isn’t, in some way, touched by drug and alcohol addiction? Sadly, many of us understand all too well the impact addiction has on individuals, relationships, families, and society as a whole. Healing House, Inc., a non profit established in 2002, helps to restore the lives of individuals battling addiction through the provision of safe, stable, recovery-supportive housing

. We’re grateful, thankful and blessed that thousands of men and women, who made Healing House their home, chose to brake the chains of addiction. We share our experiences with all that want what we have, strengthen our resolve to “do the next right thing” and give HOPE to everyone, everywhere at anytime for change.

Flourish Furniture Bank’s 3rd Annual Running of the Beds is happening this Saturday, May 2 from 11 AM – 3 PM—and Healing House KC is excited to be part of it again!

Big moments deserve to be seen—and these are the moments that matter most.

Last Friday, we had the privilege of cheering on some incredible individuals who continue to show what lasting recovery looks like:

These milestones reflect more than time—they reflect lives rebuilt, trust restored, and hope that keeps showing up day after day. Recovery isn’t easy, but these three prove that it is possible—and it is worth it.

This week we are praying for the churches, donors, and supporters who stand with Healing House.

Recovery requires a community that believes people can change and is willing to walk alongside them.

We thank God for the partners who sustain this mission and pray that new partnerships would grow so more lives can experience healing and new life.

We are so sorry to share that due to significant rain overnight, the country club has made the decision to cancel today’s tournament. There is simply too much standing water on the course for play. ☔

We know how much this day means to so many of you—it is one of our favorite days of the year as well. Unfortunately, this situation was completely out of our control.

We are grateful for New Song Church who joined us on Saturday for a prayer walk across Healing House.

Together, we walked to some of our homes, apartments, and gathering spaces where lives are being rebuilt every day.

We prayed over each space.
We prayed for every person who walks through those doors.
We prayed for healing, restoration, and new beginnings.

These buildings are more than structures. They are places where hope is restored, families are rebuilt, and lives are changed.

Prayer is not a small thing here. It is part of the foundation.

This past Saturday, something powerful happened at Healing House.

Our largest-ever Trauma Healing Institute class brought men and women together—choosing to show up, lean in, and do the hard work of healing. No one had to be there… but they came, and they stayed engaged all day.

They’re learning to understand trauma, find their voice, and discover they’re not alone—and they’ll be back next Saturday to keep going.

This is courage.
This is healing.
This is recovery.
