Although in the past horses were used as “game” and prey animals to kill and eat……later in the history of human evolution…. to ride and use for hunting, war, and transportation……. they have been taken advantage of and exploited for many years….too many times…in selfish human ways.

People Who Help Horses Heal
When aging horses are of no use for riding, too often they are set aside and ignored. So sad.
Why?
They require a lot of extra care as well as care to maintain their bodies, hooves, digestive system, and help them with the aging process until they “let go” and die.
We can help them to live happier and more loving lives in their senior years.
But it takes a lot of effort, time, energy and money.
