Healing Horses, Kauai (HHK) provides Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies that are safe, fun, and respectful for all human and equines involved. We are champions for anyone who chooses to face a challenge head on, no matter how difficult it may seem. At HHK, the phrase “I can’t” transforms into “I can and I will” with the help of the two and four-legged team at HHK.

Exploring the miracles, mystery, and science of healing with horses, this powerful film was born from witnessing an extraordinary moment — when a 7-year-old child diagnosed with autism spoke their first words while working with a horse.

Through real-life transformations, expert insights, and emerging science, Rescued Hearts invites us into a deeper understanding of how horses help us reconnect to our hearts, our truth, and our capacity to heal.

This community gathering offers a rare chance to experience a film touching hearts across the world, and connect with the filmmakers who brought it to life.

We’re honored to be joined by Tara Coyote (that’s me!) featured in Rescued Hearts. An Equine Facilitated Learning Teacher at EponaQuest Instructor, life coach, grief facilitator, author, and Stage 4 cancer thriver, Tara Coyote’s life is a testament to resilience, courage, and the healing power of horses.

Tara is a beloved friend with long time Portuguese Kaua’i roots, so we’re thrilled to welcome her to share her heart with us in the place she calls home.

Also, featured in the film is , Kauai - a local Kaua’i favorite and wonderful offering here on the island for adults and kids to connect with the therapeutic experience of being with horses. 🐴
