This school gave her exposure to Homeopathy, Bach Flowers, Homo-toxicology and Electrical Acupuncture through the use of a biofeedback device called a Body Scan 2010. She completed Bionetic Practitioner I, (BNPI) and was in the process of completing BNPII when the founder Spencer Woolley passed away suddenly closing the school. She was then inspired to continue her pursuit of learning natural medicine by attending the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver. She graduated in 2011 with a Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Amy enjoys art either by creating it her self or experiencing the art of others. Sports and outdoor activities like: camping, fishing, hiking, snowboarding and martial arts are also an important part of her life. She volunteers her time at The Clay Center and community gardens. She feels that connecting with the community in any way keeps her humble and grounded in serving others. She gets great joy in serving her local village with the intent of affecting the world in a positive way one action at a time. One of her goals is to connect western medicine's strengths with natural medicine's strengths in order to provide preventative and cost effective health care to all people. What is acupuncture or Oriental medicine? Acupuncture is one part of Oriental medicine that has been practiced in China for over 2,000 years. There are over a thousand points on the body, there location has been verified by electrodermal research. In the U.S. Acupuncture includes the use of other modalities such as moxibustion, herbs, cupping and message or Tui na. The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture being effective in treating over forty different disorders, such as:

What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress relief and relaxation. The 'rei' in reiki means universal life force energy. The 'ki' means vital energy similar to qi in Chinese medicine. Reiki uses touch to direct energy in the body and the outer energy field of a body. The sensation felt while receiving a reiki session varies from person to person or may not be felt at all. A client will feel a sense of calm and relaxation they might even fall asleep. In a reiki session the client will lie on a table fully clothed face up or face down to begin and will flip to the other side during the session to allow for the entire body to receive reiki. In order to be a reiki practitioner one must take a class and receive an attunement/initiation so that the reiki energy can flow through them. This process is beneficial because it provides healing to the initiate and can amplify the current energetic healing ability they possess. Reiki is smart energy and will go to the necessary parts of a client's body. This explains the phantom hand phenomenon that a client may experience during a session. Meaning that a client may feel touch sensation on their feet when the practitioner is actually holding part of their arm or any other part of their body that is not actually being touched.
