and staff at Kapolei Eye Care provide eye care services for the whole family. Dr. Chen is well-trained in the latest techniques and uses state-of-the-art equipment, but we never forget that friendly, personalized care for patients is our #1 priority. Dr. Nancy Chen is an Eye Physician and Surgeon (Eye M.D. or Ophthalmologist), and performs surgery and routine eye exams. As an Ophthalmologist (M.D.), she has a medical degree with at least 12 years of education and training and is licensed to practice medicine, diagnose and treat eye conditions and also perform eye surgery. Dr. Tu-Anh Gopani is an Optometrist (O.D.), has a degree in optometry with at least six years of education and is licensed and qualified to determine the need for glasses and contact lenses; prescribe optical correction; and screen and treat for some eye conditions. We are currently accepting new patients with the following health plans: HMSA, HMAA, UHA, HMA, Humana, Medicare, United Health Care, Tricare (Prime and Standard), VSP, Cigna, Aetna, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Hawaii Laborers, and most Med-Quest plans with a referral from your Primary Care Physician.
