How special that we welcomed 4 babies in our last week of serving families for TWO years now 👸🏻🥰

Total families we were honored with: 37
• 100% vaginal birth.
• 48% were water-births.
• 100% term gestation rate (1 family AP transfer for PPROM)
• 0.03% transfer rate, non-emergent for postpartum complication.
• 13.5% transfer rate for risking out of BC care prenatally (pre-eclampsia, breech, fetal growth restriction, PPROM)
• 100% breastfeeding rate.
• 0.03% maternal postpartum complication, 0% neonate postpartum complication.
We welcomed more boys than girls again & families chose Daffodil as their favorite (it’s the tub that wins them over!) The most popular day to deliver was Tuesday & the favorite time babies want to come is still in the middle of the night 🥳
BirthCenter model continues to be a new concept in a very medical community…but year 2 we grew our birth numbers by 48% 🤯…to say we are proud of this is an understatement. And, we couldn’t have done this without planting ourselves in a community that this model was much desired & needed with everyone aligning with the same goals: improved maternal/neonatal outcomes & satisfaction, which are reflective in our stats.
To my staff…you all are SO amazing! You are the foundation of this beautiful, safe, & high quality space. All of our families are so lucky to have each & every one of you for continued support, love & care. Thank you ❤️
To our community…I continue to push forward & lean into trusting the woman’s body, trusting my skills, heart & advocacy as your community midwife & strive to be my best for this model of care & YOU. Despite the incredible challenges I’ve encountered, it’s a dream I continue to pursue & trusting my surrender of His plan. Thank you to our community for your continued trust in me to root, plant & bloom this vision. Your grace, patience & support has kept me circling back to my “why”
