Looks like we might get a little bit of snow tonight… Which means it’s that magical time of the season when Minnesotas get to shovel nonstop. Before you go out there to take on the snow head on, here are five quick tips on how to stay pain-free while shoveling.
1. Warm up for 2 to 3 minutes before heading out..
2. Bend at the hips and knees, not your lower back.
3. Keep the shovel close to your body.
4. Take smaller loads instead of heavy, twisting lifts.
5. Listen to your body and take breaks as needed.
