Today we worked on deconstructing lasagna — exploring 👀, smelling 👃, touching 🤲, and tasting 👅 each layer step by step!

🧠 Language Strategies for Early Intervention at Home! 🏠

As parents, you’re already doing an amazing job supporting your child’s growth. Here are some tips to take your language strategies to the next level!

👉 Steps to Try at Home:

1️⃣ Collaborate with your child: Pick one activity that you do together for at home practice. This makes it fun and engaging for everyone!
2️⃣ Target specific communication skills: Think about which language skills can be practiced in this activity and how they tie into your family’s broader goals for your child.
👉🏽For example: Offer choices of snacks, model “open” and don’t fill the bowl all the way to the top!
👀Does this sound like you? I know! It’s more convenient to just put the bowl with the snack at the table, right? But might not be the best option to support language development as you child need to engage with you and attempt to communicate!
3️⃣ Broader life skills: By completing tasks independently, your child gains important life skills like persistence, resilience, and independence.
