Choosing hospice sooner rather than later isn’t about giving up—it’s about choosing comfort, support, and dignity 🤍

Early care allows us to manage pain, reduce stress, and give families more meaningful time together.

And if you or your loved one aren’t ready for hospice just yet, we also offer palliative care—providing support, symptom relief, and guidance while continuing treatment.

At Fort Bend Hospice, we’re here for you at every stage—on your time, at your pace.

Grief does not end after loss, and neither does support.

Bereavement care is an important part of hospice services, offering families continued guidance, emotional support, and compassionate presence after the passing of a loved one. Grieving looks different for everyone, and having access to understanding resources can make a meaningful difference during this time.

Fort Bend Hospice and Palliative Care is committed to supporting families beyond the moment of loss through bereavement services focused on healing, understanding, and connection. You do not have to navigate grief alone.

Starting hospice can feel overwhelming when you do not know what to expect. Understanding the first steps can bring clarity and peace of mind.

In the first 48 hours of hospice care, families typically receive a comprehensive nurse assessment, a personalized comfort plan, coordination of medications and medical equipment, and clear guidance on what comes next. Most importantly, families are supported with calm communication and ongoing care from a dedicated hospice team.

Hospice is designed to meet patients where they are, often at home, while supporting caregivers with education, reassurance, and compassionate care focused on comfort and dignity.

You do not need to have all the answers to begin a conversation. Learning your options early does not require commitment, only curiosity and care.
