The company Vanguard Rehabilitation Physicians of Texas was founded by Dr. Margaret Oni in 2018. Dr. Oni is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Board Certified in Brain Injury Medicine. Dr. Oni's outpatient PM&R clinic was established in 2019 to serve clients with disabilities in the Greater Houston community. We treat brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputee, and musculoskeletal disorders. We address the cognitive, physical, behavioral, and vocational needs of these individuals. Congratulations to our remarkable client! This young gentleman was awarded our Vanguard Rehab Scholarship for 2025. He has a history of stroke due to Moya Moya disease. His goal is to return to colege and study to become a Pharmacist. Vanguard Rehab scholarships are awarded by our clinic every year to two deserving clients to help fund school or their early career. Testimonial time! Meet our client who had a hemorrhagic stroke in June 2021. He has left sided weakness and spasticity. He has undergone phenol injections by Dr. Oni to treat the tightness in his left arm. Dr. Oni also manages his baclofen pump to treat the tightness in his left leg. Following these interventions, his wife reports it is easier to dress, bathe, and transfer her husband. These treatments have greatly reduced caregiver burden.
