We often hear that we need willpower. We need determination. We need to stop being lazy in order to reach our goals.
🌟Those are good things to have, but I say it doesn’t start there. It doesn’t start with willpower or determination. It begins with mindset.
🌟Something that we don’t always talk about. The battle between the subconscious and what we really want is real, and unless we condition the reticular activation system, it’ll be a fight that we will lose over and over and over.
🌟What I do that most fitness experts, dieticians, and western medicine, and the lot of them don’t do is leverage the power of the mind. Our clients start by conditioning the reticular activation system
🌟If you don’t condition your reticular activation system, you’ll stay in this mental death trap you’re leaning toward, where now you think everyone is out to get you. You think when you go out everyone is looking at you, talking about you. When you want to go on a date, that mental playlist will tell you they don’t want you because of how you look. That's a horrible way to see life.
🌟When in fact, the problem is not everyone else. The problem is you and the record you decided to play for yourself every morning of every day.
🌟So what do other public motivational speakers tell you to do?
🌟They tell you to think good thoughts. They tell you to create this vision of where you want to be. Yes, that is true, but that is not even half the battle. It's easy to tell someone to just think positively. It’s almost like giving advice to an alcoholic to just don’t drink. Well, duh, yes it's common sense.
🌟Motivational speakers who speak a good game and say a lot of pretty words would be better off stepping off the stage - extending their hand to the person in the crowd and saying “grab my hand, let me show you how”.
