|5 easy ways to reduce your toxic load|
🌿Ditch home fragrances- go scent free at home whenever possible. Get rid of plug in air fresheners, synthetic fragrance room sprays and candles that leach chemicals, allergens, and hormone disrupters into the air you breathe. Essential oils or plant based, non-toxic brands are a better choice.
🌿Clean deodorant- refuse aluminum, phthalates, parabens, and synthetic fragrances in your deodorant. These ingredients are linked to disease processes, found in cancer cells, and associated with allergic responses. They are quickly absorbed into the body via highly absorbable areas like your armpit, which is also home to many lymph nodes. Choose a clean option instead that leaves these ingredients out and is either fragrance-free or uses plant-based, non- toxic scents.
🌿Fluoride-free toothpaste- our water supply is overloaded with fluoride. You don’t need more! It is suggested that this ingredient can be neurotoxic in larger doses. Choose an alternative option such as nano-hydroxyapatite instead.
🌿Indoor plants- bring nature indoors with some air purifying plants that will reduce indoor air pollution. A couple low maintenance options are: snake plants, spider plants, aloe Vera and pathos.
🌿Wool dryer balls- say goodbye to toxic dryer sheets to lessen unnecessary chemicals in the clothes that touch your body 24/7. Try wool dryer balls instead. You can even scent them lightly with essential oils.
