Oily Skin or Dehydrated Skin? The Confusion That Makes Your Skin Worse!
▪️ In the past, I always thought my skin was oily—constantly shiny, especially in the T-zone. So I rushed into using oil-control products, strong exfoliants, and even skipped moisturizer for fear of clogging my pores. But the more I tried to control the oil, the more my skin produced it, along with tightness and flakiness.
✨ It wasn’t until I had a skin analysis that I realized: Turns out, my skin wasn’t too oily—it was actually dehydrated! When the skin lacks water, it reacts by producing more oil as a defense mechanism. But oil can never replace real hydration, and that’s exactly why I faced so many issues: dullness, enlarged pores, makeup sliding off easily, and even stubborn breakouts.
▪️ Many people still think oily skin doesn’t need moisturizing, but the truth is the complete opposite. When you hydrate properly, your skin naturally regulates sebum production, becoming more balanced and healthier. That’s why instead of desperately fighting oil at all costs, listen to your skin and give it what it truly needs! 💙
