You don't actually need toothpaste to brush your teeth. And I say that as a dentist. ๐ŸŒฟ

The act of brushing is what removes biofilm, not the paste. Most people put toothpaste on and brush for 20 seconds thinking they've done their job. But the biofilm is still there. We see it every single day under the microscope.

Master the technique first. Brush with water until you know it's actually working. Then add toothpaste as an enhancement, and when you do, check for SLS, the foaming agent that irritates more people than they realize.

Still overwhelmed by ingredients? Make your own. Baking soda and coconut oil. Two ingredients, zero confusion. ๐Ÿ’›

And supplements? Same philosophy. Show me your blood work before you copy anyone's routine, including mine. Personalization is everything.

The basics will always win. Nutrition, hydration, sleep, and stress. No supplement replaces those.

I get this question every single day, and I want to answer it honestly because I take x-rays on my own children every single year. ๐ŸŒฟ

Here's the truth. No matter how well we brush at home, I cannot see between my kids' teeth with my eyes alone. I cannot tell if something is still in the enamel, which means it's completely reversible, or if it's already moved deeper, which means it's not. Without x-rays, I'm guessing. And I don't guess when it comes to anyone's health, including my own family.

Digital x-rays today carry minimal radiation. Less than the phone sitting in your pocket right now. Less than a single flight across the country. That comparison always surprises people, but it's true.

And with AI now built into our radiology software, we can catch the very beginning of demineralization before it ever becomes a real cavity. That's what minimally invasive dentistry actually looks like in practice. Finding it when it's tiny, treating it gently, and preserving as much of your natural tooth structure as possible.

We also never take the same x-rays on everyone. Our radiology protocol is built around your specific cavity risk, your history, and what we're monitoring over time. Low risk looks completely different from high risk. And a 3D CBCT is only prescribed when it's truly necessary, reviewed with a radiologist, and discussed with you in full before anything moves forward.

X-rays done thoughtfully and intentionally aren't something to fear. They're one of the most powerful tools we have for keeping your care minimal, your mouth healthy, and your body protected. ๐Ÿ’›

These are the moments I hold onto. Pure joy, a little spontaneity, and the kind of tired that feels really good at the end of the day.

Grateful for the adventures, big and small. ๐Ÿค

My new patient appointments are two hours long. And I want to tell you exactly what happens in those two hours, because it's unlike anything most people have experienced at a dental office before. ๐ŸŒฟ

We start by getting to know you. A full office tour, a real conversation about your health history, and then we begin looking at your whole body, not just your teeth. We assess your posture and how your bite connects all the way up through your neck from C1 to C7. We look at your gum tissue, your chewing patterns, which side you favor, whether your jaw clicks or pops. We evaluate your tongue for ties and airway issues that could be affecting your sleep, your breathing, and your energy.

Then we put your saliva under a microscope so you can see with your own eyes exactly what's living in your mouth right now. That moment alone changes everything for most patients.

And then I give you homework.

Because here's what I've learned after years of practicing this way. I can do everything right in this chair, but if we're not truly partnering together, the results won't last. So you leave with a clear plan, real life skills like nasal rinsing and mouth taping, and simple daily practices that don't cost much but create changes you'll genuinely feel in your body.

Every single time a patient comes back and says it's working, that's exactly what this practice was built for. ๐Ÿ’›

I could have stayed here all day. ๐Ÿ”๏ธ

Honestly, I almost did.

There's something about this place that just stops you. The way the red rocks hold the whole valley, the clouds rolling in slow, the colors changing every few minutes. I kept thinking I was about to get up and then I'd look out again and just... stay.

I don't need it to mean something big. Sometimes a view is just a view, and that's enough. That's everything, actually.

So grateful for this one. ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒฟ

What's a view that stopped you in your tracks? Drop it in the comments, I'd love to see it.

Most people are told there's only one way to replace a missing tooth. Walk in, pick an implant, done.

But that's not how we think about it here, and honestly, it's not how your body thinks about it either.

Before we ever recommend a replacement option, we want to know your body. Your healing history, your immune response, your biocompatibility. Because an implant that works beautifully for one person can fail in another, and it has nothing to do with the skill of the dentist. It has everything to do with whether the body was ready and compatible to begin with.

You deserve to know all of your options, and you deserve a provider who lets your biology lead the way.

Ready to find out what's right for your body? We'd love to be part of that conversation. ๐Ÿ’›

I used to think I had to have it all figured out before I could teach it. ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I had to have the perfect protocol. The perfect outcome. The perfect words to explain what I was doing and why.

And honestly? That thinking kept me quiet for way too long.

So when invited me to be interviewed as a Key Opinion Leader, sharing not just how I use their products but how I teach others to do better clinical dentistry, I said yes before I was "ready." ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ

Because that's the thing nobody tells you in dental school. The moment you share what you know, even imperfectly, someone else's practice gets better. Someone's patient heals differently. Something shifts. ๐ŸŒฟ

We have so much knowledge sitting inside us that we're holding back, waiting for the right time, the right platform, the right version of ourselves to show up.

That time is now. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to be willing. ๐Ÿค

Are you sharing your clinical journey with others? Drop a comment, I'd love to know what you're teaching lately. ๐Ÿ‘‡

When a patient needs a tooth removed, I never treat it like a routine procedure. Because to me, it isn't. ๐ŸŒฟ

A tooth is an organ. It has nerve function, lymphatic flow, blood supply, and a real role in how you talk, chew, swallow, and live. So the decision to remove one starts with a full exam, diagnostic confirmation, every option laid out clearly, and a real conversation where you are in the driver's seat. Because it's your body, and that never changes.

When removal is the right path forward, we prepare your body first. I check your vitamin D to make sure you can actually build new bone after surgery. We talk about nutrition, hydration, and sleep because your immune system needs to be strong and ready before we begin. You receive a full pre-op checklist so nothing is left to chance.

On the day of surgery, I draw your blood and spin it in a medical grade centrifuge to create platelet rich fibrin, your own healing material, which goes directly back into the socket. We clean the entire site with ozone gas, ozone water, and laser technology before suturing it closed so bacteria have no pathway back in.

You leave with red light therapy, vitamin C, and homeopathic support in your bag. No narcotics. No antibiotics that weaken the very system trying to heal you. ๐Ÿ’›

Two weeks later is my favorite appointment. That's when patients tell me their energy came back. Their pain lifted. They didn't need a single pain medication. They feel like themselves again.

That's the moment I work for every single time.

I saw this and had to bring it home. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hustle, focus, persistence, discipline, failure, risks, patience. All at 100%. But you know what hit me the hardest? Failure at 100%.

Nobody talks about that part. They see the practice, the courses, the speaking events and think it all just came together. It didn't. There were years where I was sick, scared, and wondering if I made a huge mistake leaving everything I knew to start from nothing.

But every single failure taught me something I couldn't have learned any other way. ๐Ÿ’›

This sign lives in my house now because I need the reminder too. Success isn't one moment. It's showing up every day and trusting the process even when you can't see the finish line.

Which ingredient do you need more of right now? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Most dental offices have x-rays. But are they actually seeing the full picture? There's a layer most dentists don't even know exists. ๐Ÿฆท

You already know about the 3D CBCT scan, the gold standard for seeing what's happening inside the bone. But here's what even a 3D scan can't tell you. It can't measure the electrical activity running through your teeth.

Think about it this way. When you visit a cardiologist, they don't just look at your heart. They measure its electrical activity with an EKG. Your entire body runs on electricity, and your teeth are no different. In our office we use a technology called EAV, which measures the electrical current moving through each tooth. It tells us which teeth are strong, which ones are weak, and which ones are quietly blocking your body's ability to function and heal.

Here's why that matters so much. By the time an infection shows up on even a 3D scan, it's often already been there for a long time. That means we've missed the window to address it early, when the tooth could still be supported and the root cause investigated. EAV helps us catch what's happening before it reaches that point.

If you've had root canals or extractions and you've ever wondered how healthy those sites really are, this is the kind of screening that gives you real answers, not just a picture of what's already gone wrong.

Not every office has this technology. We do. And if you're looking for a provider near you, the IST website has a directory of practitioners who offer EAV testing. ๐Ÿ’›

Blood draw day. ๐Ÿฉธ

This isn't for a patient. This is for me. Because I practice what I preach.

After going through heavy metal toxicity and nearly losing everything, I learned that you can't just guess how your body's doing. You have to look. Vitamin D levels, inflammation markers, immune function, thyroid, all of it. The numbers don't lie, and they've caught things for me that I never would've felt until it was too late.

I get my blood work done regularly now. Not because something's wrong, but because I refuse to wait until something is. ๐Ÿ’›

Here's the thing, I ask my patients to do blood work before procedures because I believe in it that much. It would be pretty hard to recommend something I wasn't willing to do myself, right?

03/03/2026

No pain doesn't mean no problem. This is something I see every single day, and I want you to know about it. ๐Ÿฆท

Some of the largest, most active infections I've ever seen came from patients who felt completely fine. No pain, no swelling, no warning signs at all. The root canal had been there so long that the nerve was gone and the blood flow had stopped. The body just quietly learned to work around it.

But that infection was still there. Still draining the immune system. Still affecting blood sugar, inflammation markers, energy levels, and lab work that nobody could explain.

That's exactly why I don't wait for pain to tell us something is wrong. The gold standard right now is a 3D CBCT scan. It's painless, takes just a few minutes, and lets us see inside the bone in a way that a regular x-ray never could. When patients see their own pathology report after we remove a tooth they thought was fine, they're genuinely in disbelief. Abscess, mold, fungal, bacterial, all of it living silently inside a tooth they felt nothing from.

If you have a root canal and you've never had a proper 3D screening, please don't wait for it to hurt. By the time there's pain, things have often been brewing for years. Get screened. Be smart. Your body will thank you. ๐Ÿ’›
