As a provider at Sequoia, Teal empowers her patients to optimize their physical and mental health, striving for the best possible quality of life at every age and stage. Her passion for whole-person care and her compassionate presence make her an incredible asset to every patient she serves.

Outside of work, Teal cherishes time with her family, especially her two children. Whether they’re traveling, exploring, or enjoying cozy days at home, her heart is always full.

Now continuing her journey in psychiatric care, Nicole hopes to pursue her doctorate and expand her ability to make a meaningful impact.

We welcome Kayla as Sequoia’s newest NP! With a heart for whole-person care, Kayla brings compassion and clinical excellence to every patient she serves. After graduating from Alverno College, she began her nursing journey at Froedtert Health, where her time on the surgical oncology floor and float pool gave her broad experience and a deep appreciation for individualized care.

Earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Herzing University, Kayla stepped into the role of Nurse Practitioner with a strong belief in empowering patients to make informed choices and live life fully. Her approach is rooted in empathy, education, and a dedication to improving quality of life.

Outside of work, Kayla is an avid traveler who finds inspiration exploring cultures and countries around the world, always adding to her list of adventures.

This incredible depth of experience has made Kayla a compassionate and versatile provider who brings thoughtful, well-rounded care to every patient she sees. Whether addressing urgent needs or supporting long-term wellness, Kayla brings heart, wisdom, and a commitment to excellence.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and children, especially summer camping trips, baking, and tuning into educational podcasts.

A board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and a nationally certified wound care clinician, Katie is also trained in sharps debridement, a testament to her expertise and commitment to quality care.

Her passion for serving the elderly shines through in everything she does. Katie understands the complexities of managing multiple chronic conditions and excels in creating personalized, evidence-based care plans that prioritize comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

When she’s not delivering exceptional care, Katie is enjoying time with her two children and family, often out on the water boating or dreaming of her next Caribbean adventure.

Welcome one of our newest NP’s, Dr. Hillary! With over a decade of nursing experience and an earned Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Dr. Hillary brings a powerful blend of compassion, versatility, and clinical excellence to Sequoia. Her work spans trauma, hospice, critical care, mental health, and elder care (including her time serving veterans in a 300+ bed nursing home). Hillary’s passion for caring for vulnerable populations is evident in every patient interaction.

Approachable, empathetic, and deeply thorough, Hillary makes her patients feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. Her laughter is just as much a part of the healing process as is her clinical skill.

Outside of work, Hillary and her husband homeschool their two children and run a homestead complete with ducks, chickens, and a huge garden. She brings the same grounded warmth to her patients as she does to her own family.

Haley has been a nurse for 13 years and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2020. With a heart devoted to the senior population, she has spent most of her career in senior living communities, bringing compassion, skill, and joy to the lives of older adults every day.

Haley’s passion for nursing runs deep. She says she couldn’t imagine doing anything else — and her patients feel that in every visit. Her care is personal, patient-centered, and full of heart.

At home, Haley loves life with her husband, their children, and their dog. Together, they enjoy exploring new places, trying new foods, and savoring the little things.

🌟 Nurse Practitioner Week SPOTLIGHT: Dr. Donna Hawley, DNP, APNP, PMHNP, CDP, Certified Dementia Practitioner

With over 25 years of experience in geriatrics, hospice, dementia care, and mental health, Dr. Donna Hawley has dedicated her career to empowering caregivers and advancing person-centered care. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Dementia Practitioner & Trainer, she brings clear expertise and vision to Sequoia.

A few short weeks ago, Dr. Hawley launched Sequoia Pathways: A Dementia Education & Support Program, a statewide initiative aimed at strengthening dementia support systems through training, advocacy, and education. Her work with the Alzheimer’s Association and the WI Department of Human Services highlights her commitment to improving care at every level.

An educator and mentor at UW–Oshkosh, Dr. Hawley continues to shape the next generation of nurses while leading change in long-term care.

We’re proud to celebrate her compassion & innovation during NP Week and beyond. 💚
