Parking Progress at KCH! The rock wall and foundation are now in place, making way for additional parking stalls that will be coming soon! Earlier this week, construction work around campus also created a handful of extra stalls to ease parking in the meantime.

Yesterday, we welcomed U.S. Representative Jill Tokuda to Kona Community Hospital. She toured our facility, met with healthcare staff and leadership, and took time to listen — really listen — to the unique challenges rural hospitals and healthcare providers face.

During our discussion, Rep. Tokuda shared insights into the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBBA) and the alarming consequences it poses for healthcare in our communities. Cuts to Medicaid funding don’t just hurt budgets — they hurt patients, caregivers, and the very fabric of rural health systems.

We mahalo Rep. Tokuda for standing with us and continuing the fight to protect access to care across Hawai‘i. 💙

This past weekend, the Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary awarded nursing scholarships to five deserving individuals pursuing careers in healthcare. Their generous support helps nurture the next generation of caregivers who will carry forward our mission of compassionate care for every patient, every day. 💙

The Auxiliary is a dedicated group of volunteers who have supported our hospital for decades. It serves as our volunteer arm and raises funds to support initiatives like these nursing scholarships.

🤝 At the Governor’s Luncheon hosted by the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, our team joined local business leaders for meaningful discussions with Governor Josh Green, MD.

🏛️ At the Healthcare Association of Hawai‘i Annual Membership Meeting, our leadership remained actively engaged in statewide advocacy efforts, helping represent the needs of our community across Hawai‘i’s healthcare landscape.

At Kona Community Hospital, we offer Prenatal Classes designed to empower and educate you through your pregnancy journey, so you can feel more confident and supported when the big day arrives.

Each session includes four classes covering labor and delivery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and more. Classes are led by our certified child birth educator.

📅 Wednesdays | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
