It is with deep sadness that Keansburg EMS announces the passing of our Past Captain and President, Karl Strauch.

Karl’s dedication to Keansburg EMS went far beyond answering calls. As Captain from 1999–2001 and President in 2001, he led with commitment, pride, and a true passion for helping others. Whether guiding the squad through challenges or mentoring new members, Karl always made it clear that service to the community came first.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Karl’s family and friends during this difficult time. His impact on Keansburg will never be forgotten, and he will always be remembered as a leader, mentor, and friend.

Rest easy, Karl. We’ll take it from here. 💙

Keansburg EMS extends our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters of Keansburg Fire Company #1 on the passing of Ex-Chief and Life Member William Jacques.

Chief Jacques was not only a dedicated servant to the Borough, but also a friend and mentor to so many. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched and the years he devoted to the fire service.

To our fire company family, please know that we stand beside you during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and with the Jacques family.

Rest easy, Chief, your service and impact will never be forgotten.

In addition to covering Bayzar, our team also provided standby at the football game and handled several calls for service in town.

A huge thank you to our dedicated crew for stepping up and making sure the community is covered. 💪 Every call, every patient, every moment, we’re here when you need us most.

Chief Walters dedicated years of service to this community, leading with courage, integrity, and commitment. His impact will be remembered not only in the fire department but throughout the entire town of Keansburg.
