Did you know there is 3 stages of Type 1 DM?
Stage 1: positive antibodies, normal BS and normal A1c.
Stage 2: positive antibodies, lower c peptide, A1c from 5.7 to 6.4%, mild hyperglycemia
Stage 3: A1c above 6.5%, consistent hyperglycemia.
At Stage 2 we have a treatment called Tzield. An infusion that can slow progression of the disease.
