Our team added a little extra holiday fun with two festive games 🎄🎉

First up was “𝑰𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂 𝑺𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒊𝒏 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑷𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕?”—a staff-only game full of laughs. Four team members were randomly given a skate or skater, and everyone else had to ask around to find out who was hiding one (no take-backs allowed!). The game wrapped up and our winners were:
👏 Amanda – Black HSC jacket + $20 Central Mercantile gift card
👏 Alayna – Black HSC jacket + $20 Central Mercantile gift card
👏 Lana – HSC blue blanket + $20 7 Brew gift card
👏 Jill – Black HSC jacket + $20 Scooter’s gift card

Even our OR joined in on the fun—pictured here are OR Tech Angela and Dr. Blecha getting in on the action!

We also sent out Christmas Trivia questions to our team. Anyone who participated was entered into a drawing for a $50 San Pedro’s gift card—and Holly came out on top! 🎁

A little friendly competition, lots of laughs, and plenty of holiday cheer made for a great day with our amazing team. 💙

In the true spirit of Christmas and community, our team was proud to support the Salvation Army Giving Tree. This generosity reflects our ongoing commitment to caring not only for our patients, but for our community as well.

A special thank-you to Patty for driving Santa’s sleigh and delivering the gifts from HSC to the Salvation Army. 🎄❤️

At a family’s request, our team helped Donut the Elf make a surprise appearance in a post-op room. It’s the small touches that help make our patients and families feel a little more at ease.

On Tuesday, we celebrated the retirement of Janna Burton, Patient Services Representative – Transcription, and thanked her for her years of dedication and commitment to both our patients and our team. Janna is one of the friendly faces who greets our patients each morning and helps admit them to our center—and she will truly be missed by everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting her.

Janna has been part of the Heartland Surgery Center family for just over 9 years. To commemorate this special milestone, she was presented with a beautiful pair of diamond earrings. 💎
