Definitely exciting times for both patients and Urologists! Garrett D Pohlman, M.D. was invited to reflect on the BPH offerings from the American Urological Association Annual Meeting in Las Vegas for .

Definitely not a one size fits all when it comes to BPH treatment. Patients are now more vocal than ever and demand options that minimize adverse events - and are seeking out options that minimize the risk of negatively affecting ejaculatory dysfunction. Urologists must remain flexible in their approach to BPH care and stay up to speed on the newest innovations coming to market and the updated clinical data available.

Dr. Pohlman was recently recognized as an Interstim Center of Excellence by Medtronic Pelvic Health - which recognizes physicians who are experts in using Interstim system to treat conditions like overactive bladder, f***l incontinence, and non-obstructive urinary retention.

The InterStim system is an innovative therapy that involves implanting a device in the lower back to send mild electrical pulses to the sacral nerves. This is also known as as sacral neuromodulation.

☑️ Is the PSA alone used to test for prostate cancer? When would you do a DRE too?
☑️ Does a high PSA automatically mean someone has prostate cancer?

☑️ When would you recommend a biopsy for someone based on their PSA test?

Until recently our options for Testosterone replacement therapy have involved modalities including needles and messy gels. Men are now excited to finally have a comprehensive option (in pill form) that is convenient, safe, and effective. Kearney Urology Center PC - is excited to now offer Kyzatrex Testosterone therapy and currently the only practice in the region who is able to offer it.
